I am bashing our players. A lot of them are soft and lazy. It's not entirely their fault because what chance did they have with Butch and co. coaching them but it is what it is.

We went 5-7 in a year we were favored in 3 games. We beat two ranked opponents, one on the road. Far from perfect and growth and staff adjustments are needed, but this isn’t a dumpster fire season either.

No long term conclusions made about this staff but it's clearly strike 1 against them. Sure they can overcome being behind the count and still hit a HR but year 1 was an ugly freaking strike

Ditto here... except for this caveat... Pruitt must go to bowl next year and he'd better beat Vandy or he will enter 2020 no on the hot seat.

Vandy is the litmus next year for me...please no more losing to that garbage.

This team is only really losing five players due to eligibility. We will miss 2, 5, 22, 97, 98. Others like 24 and 99 were hurt. The rest are nonfactors other than 19 and 31 who were just brought in for depth.

The purge of undergrad dead weight will occur soon.

Ok done being negavol...

Positives going into next year: (Not recruiting Bc i don’t really follow)

-Another year with Fitz and S/C staff.
-Secondary should be at top of the conference. Flowers, BT, & AT all looked very good for frosh.
-JG has a full year under him and more experience.
-hopefully bulk of our skill on offense returns.
-slightly easier schedule.

I won't be surprised if they bring in another grad transfer at QB. Just not convinced Guarantano is going to be the guy.

That’s a little harsh. I don’t think our roster is that bad. Butch gave us a roster that virtually everyone agreed was best in the East for two years that was littered with nfl players. So i don’t believe that every single player he recruited after that, where the bulk of our roster is made of just sucks now and aren’t SEC caliber.

That’s why I’m putting just as much blame on coaches as i am players. I never expected a great season but i wanted a bowl game and a great recruiting class. Hopefully we go 1-2 in that aspect. Our roster was good enough to make a bowl imo

It is the truth. It isn't PC, and it pisses people off, maybe rightfully so, but it's the truth. I have been bashed all year for saying it, but now most people accept it as truth, there are a portion of lazy, prideless, quitters/goof-off, never started players on this roster...enough that it effects the whole team.

Just not convinced? Lol....how is this even a debate? If I'm Pruitt i cut him pick up a grad transfer qb and let Shrout and Mauer battle it out.

If it was good enough to beat Kentucky and Auburn, it was good enough to beat Vandy.

I don't know either but I do know this staff has a major problem with motivation.

Hell probably our most connected poster said the coaches weren't even all in with going to a bowl game. That says all I need to hear about these coaches willingness to work at motivating this team. Very discouraging

Many posters never forgave Bray and his teammates for not wanting to go to a bowl and now we hear our own coaches didn't really care. Bs
