Are you ever happy? You didn’t think Barnes was the answer either. Bama seems to be a good fit for you.
Yep Barnes is sooo amazing, the win against Kansas, oh wait, well that tournament run from last year, whooooops. Well at least we won the sec tournament last year, oh wait. Yep talk to me when he accomplishes something

A lot of people are saying we need to cut dead weight and purge and build depth. But I seen a lot of ****** sloppy poor play from starters the past few weeks. DK. Bituli. Warrior. Et cetera.

Speaking for myself, but all you mentioned but Bituli are the ones I want to see replaced with better real life SEC caliber players.

Because losing to the #2 team in country is bad? Not beating KY 3 times in a season in what was a great game? And sister jeans final four prayer warriors? I'd say winning a share of the SEC regular season after projected last is accomplishing something. And being top 10 in basketball at TN is an accomplishment.

The reason we're down is because we haven't hired coaches capable of coaching at this level. When a desperate AD bargain-hires guys like Derek Dooley and Butch Jones, neither of whom had the experience, the skills or the chops to recruit, develop and win at a program like UT, you get exactly what we have seen. Garbage in, garbage out. Unfortunately, we're still in the weeding garbage out phase.

So the question becomes, will the current coaches be able to, and have enough time to turn the corner? Do you think it would be fair to call this "year -1" instead of "year 0"?

Well guys I really got to take a break. I’ve spent way too many offseasons on this site trying to peer into the future of the Vols through recruiting, rumors and practice reports and I’ve learned after all of it that I have no idea how things will go and that Saturdays in the fall are the best indicator of the health of the program.

I’m going to post my final thoughts here and then block this site and peace out for a long while.

I have said and heard this before. Will not happen. Lol

No 10 wins but schedule is easier with BYU and qb’s Lock and Shurmur no longer in league. I’d say 7-8 wins with improvement and easier schedule should be expected

Well why did we regress so much in 11 and 12? It was a HUGE dropoff in effort, coaching, and discipline!

I think we had a few too many players wanting the season to be over. One other thing is too many people convinced themselves that the players had suddenly turned he corner in the week between Charlotte and UK, and that suddenly the culture had changed. The reality is that in UK and Auburn we defeated 2 one-dimensional teams that didn't stress our defense. Pruitt even said after the UK game that when he reviewed the tape he would guess there would be at least 50 mistakes based on what he saw from the sideline, but that UK had fortunately not taken advantage of those mistakes too often. He didn't say it but he was alluding to the fact UK didn't have a QB who was capable of exploiting those mistakes. But the reality is the front 7 cannot get push against an experienced OL, as we saw not just the last 2 games, but the entire season, and we saw a lot of really good QBs who were good enough to exploit the lack of pressure. It is what it is. Got to have talented big guys stat.
