I keep telling people that we were very fortunate to get to ATL in 2007. The prof was in the pudding in 2008.

Fulmer, Cutcliffe and Ainge destroyed this program.

Now that is silly. Good grief. Truth be told without Cutcliff, Fulmer was just a great recruiter and a good coach. Fulmer deserves respect that for some reason dilusional fans don’t give him. And WTH did Ainge do? Mike Hamilton started the decline. Read up on it.

Fulmer had his 5 win season. Had his chance to fix it and had another 5 win effort instead. Recruiting was down on the lines. His assistants were in disarray and he was a million miles behind the best coaches in the league.

The mistake was hiring Dooley because he was an aw shucks guy with the last name he had. How much different is UT if we hire Peterson, or Brian Kelly, both of whom wanted the job? It was never the firing, it was the bad hires.

All that said, Hamilton is long gone. Mistakes have been compounded by utter incompetence at the administration levels. That probably includes hiring Fulmer as AD.

UT hired Dooley to keep us out of hot water with the NCAA
and to Complete the New Complex.

He had administration experience and a Law Degree....

Coaching was secondary here at UT....

Pruitt has been a coordinator in college football for years. Just like Dabo, Smart and many others. Fulmer as well. Not every single program hires a proven HC. I get it, Pruitt sucks and so does Fulmer right? Also, like I have said, we were still very relevant in 2008.

The fact is Kiffin did ZERO to deserve being a HC at TN. If you can refute, plases do so.

My point is that niether Kiffin, Pruitt or Fulmer deserved to be HBC at UT at the time of their hiring.

At least someone put the blame on the correct person...…………………..I said it then and say it now...…………..Mike Hamilton single handedly started several UT programs down the tube...……..NOT just Football.

Remember we had 2 AD's one from Florida and one from Alabama. Do you think they wanted Tennessee to suceed?? It was 92 years ago and shows how this program has deteriorated.

Kiffin is twice the head coach than Pruitt will ever be. So you must be projecting failure on Pruitt.
