That’s just one position group tho. No doubt it was great, But overall roster? Give me this team
Yeah, Smokey...but, you know that in the trenches is where SEC games are played. And I truly believe that the OL, just a little moreso than the DL (by a hair) is the most important position on the field; and Butch left us absolutely depleted there (DL, too), to the tune of having to start a kid who weighs 270 at G.

He said we were picked last by most people. That's wrong. He also said it was the first time we've had two signature wins in "decades", which is wrong. I'm not saying the Auburn and Kentucky wins weren't big. Don't know how you got that from my post. But since you brought it up, Kentucky was not and is not a top 15 team in all reality. Probably not even a top 25 team if you want to know the truth. Nonetheless, still a nice win. I guess you're using one source for your toughest schedule argument. Because every strength of schedule article I looked at, did not have Tennessee at the top. Tennessee fans have Tennessee at the top. In other words, homers. Take your L and move on.

Ok since 2008, name the season where we beat a ranked SECW team on the road and a top 15 ranked team in the same year. You can spin the UK game all you want but the fact is they were 11th at the time and nothing you can say will change that. Its just you trying to crap on a good win. Its as dumb as those saying Botchs 2013 win over top 10 SC wasnt that big. So just stop.

Sagarin is just about the best place to go for strength of schedule. If you dont realize that then I dont know what to tell you. I presented facts. You presented opinions. And ypu lost. Try harder next time.

Sounds like some of y'all are putting a Butch Jones caliber spin on a potential 5-7 season. 5-7, no matter how you cut it, is a disappointment. It doesn't mean Pruitt is going to fail in the long term by any means, but it's still a disappointment.
Yes, Chief...a major disappointment, man...not a failure.

Did I not just say it was a nice win? If you think Kentucky is a legitimate top 15 team I'm calling your football IQ out on the carpet. Technically that's an opinion, but it's an educated one at that. Nobody who has a brain thinks Kentucky is that good, other than Tennessee fans like you who want to pretend like they're some juggernaut. The guy asked me to point out his homeristic comments, and that's exactly what I did. Keep on coming back for more hoss. I'll hand out L's all night.

Yes of course, but football is a also a team sport and outside of QB I don’t think any position will carry you. I’ll take 18’ roster over 13’ not by a whole lot tho, remove the Oline and it’s not even close. I’ve said it before, it was miracle we finished with more than 4 wins. We shoulda won 3 that year imo

The schedules are definitely debatable, Smoke; yet, you guys may be right about '13, if only by a hair...maybe...idk. 🤔

Overall record of opp. in '13 was 94-59, with 6 teams finishing in AP top 25. 5 finished in top 10...Auburn at #2.

Overall record of opp. this yr is 83-47, with the potential for 5, maybe 6 teams finishing in top 25 (Mizzou is one of the top 25 teams in the country, I believe you would agree; and they received 34 votes this wk). Potentially, 4 could finish in top 10...with Bama maybe being the greatest college football team ever assembled.

It's very close. I didn't even realize how close until I started digging. Very similar.
I think you also have to look at football as a whole this year. I mean, overall it’s awful. Before this Saturday there were 2 4 loss teams ranked and I believe 10 3 loss teams. Since 2010(I didn’t get on a back any further)there were zero 4 loss teams ranked at that point and most of the years there were just 3-5 3 loss teams ranked, 10 was also the highest in that time period. I mean cmon, does anyone really think Kentucky is genuinely a good team? Or deserving of the #11 ranking when we beat them? I

Some posters just have a hard time admitting things.

It's really hilarious
And some posters are just FOS.

It's really sad.
Up till now, I've been laughing at the BS that dripples from you night and day; but, now I just want to call you a helpline.
