The fact that you are writing any player off at any position after basically one bad half, shows that you are too immature to really bring anything to this board. Maybe freak will start a Fortnite thread or something and then you can be a respected poster there. Until then, the ignore button is always one click away bud.

I have an honest question. Are you also Dobbs4Heisman?

Top three in the east and 3rd in the east. Same difference.

I’m still in wait and see mode as well. I just think conversations about the ceiling or floor of our staff right now are flawed because they’re based off of insufficient data. When you’re looking at a rebuild, year one is essentially about installing schemes and establishing a culture. Years 2 and 3 are when you can start to make sound judgments about what a coach is capable of, IMO. Year 2 is probably too early in some situations as well.
Not really, I don't think you're getting my point. If we're third in the east and getting blown out by GA and FL that's different from being in the top three and rotating years between FL and GA and being competitive in your losses.

Also, I'm not talking about floor and ceiling for this staff. All I'm saying is I've not seen anything to get excited about. Maybe that changes. Maybe it is 100% on the players. I think it's a combination of a below average roster, a culture of losing being acceptable (to some) and rookie coaches that are feeling their way through this. I think they've been in successful programs and are trying to apply it to this program without the weaponry that they are used to.

On a positive note, I think they are doing a masterful job of selling this program and their vision to recruits. Despite the year, recruits are not only listening, they are signing up. I can only imagine what this class would have looked like if we'd have just slightly better results on the field. I don't necessarily mean wins either, just more competitive at times.

I'm not down on Chryst. I prefer JG, but he wasn't doing anything against Mizzou. Chryst did move the ball, but the interception killed the team, who don't take setbacks well.

Like everyone else, I just want to be the team that showed up to play Auburn and Kentucky and not the one that came for Mizzou and Florida.

That's probably the future of the SEC East, assuming UT, UF and UGA have top coaching staffs and recruit elite players. Bama-like dominance is rare. It's more likely the Big 3 in the East will cannibalize wins from each other and alternate conference championships. With increasing parity in the top and middle tiers, the division champion won't necessarily be an 11-1 or 10-2 team-- 9-3 or even 8-4 with the right wins could take the East. People get too hung up on number of wins when beating the right teams is the next step.

That's a good point. Look at what Northwestern did to win their division this year. They're 7-4 overall, but have gone undefeated in their division knocking off Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska along the way.

Utah in the Pac-12 is another good example. They're 8-3 on the year, but went 4-1 in their division and won the PAC-12 South.

Pruitt has to build the program back to where we are dominate against Vandy, Kentucky, Mizzou, South Carolina and our rotating west opponent. Once we get to the point where we are a 10+ point favorite in all of those games, the wins against Florida, Georgia and Alabama will follow.

And to me, that's probably OK. I mean if we get to that level, sure I'll want more. When you are at that level, you give yourself a shot if every thing lines up. We have to get to the point where KY, SC, Mizzou, and Vandy are automatics first.

That’s how i feel. He came in led a TD drive. We were moving the ball before half, that INT looked like miscommunication to me by either MC or KC or both.

Then directly after half He led another scoring drive. We have some momentum going, then we miss tackles to stop a 3 and out that leads to a TD.... CFA fumbles for a TD and nothing else really matters after that. The game was over.

Makes me happy because uscjr fans were so sure he was going there

Just went to USC 247 board...

Well that sucks....

I understand the Watts kid has a big yr & was overlooked.

Just feels like despite a once promising potential star studded DB class, the last month we’ve had to go deep down our DB board for guys like:
- Zay Flowers
- Daquan Watts
- Xavier Legette

While missing on the likes of:
- Jaydon Jill (Florida)
- Jaylen McCollough (Tennessee)
- DJ Daniel (Georgia)
- Jalen Perry (Michigan)
- JR Walker (Va Tech)

...

Bring on the low rated high ceiling 3 star

...

it's disturbing that this staff has missed on so many in the secondary. I hate recruiting and refuse to follow it anymore.

...

Muschamp said he could sell ice to a Eskimo but he can’t sell immediate playing time to a 17 year old.

...

I hope his nuts freeze off.

And that's where we've traditionally been-- competing for the East and winning the division on a semi-regular basis. Under Fulmer, UT won the East about every three years. Getting back to that would be acceptable to most UT fans. Bama's dominance is an aberration. Normally, the SECCG is competitive, with the SEC champion getting a NY6 bowl.

Thread on Auburn 247 accusing Pruitt of cheating lol...

Should we really be surprised with the recruiting traction he has got at Tennessee? Dude is the slimiest of slime balls. Would be very surprised if something shady WASN’T going on up there.

responses...

I don’t disagree with that either. He can post what he wants, He pays to post but I would rather read 900000000000000 fire gus thread then AU complaining about another school cheating.......

...

I’m not sure if Pruitt cheats or doesn’t. What I know is I read a lot of articles on top recruits who when asked who is recruits them the hardest Tennessee is often mentioned. Pappoe recently stated in an article that he was hearing from every member of the staff every day.

...

From someone that knows him personally, I am not surprised he is having some traction in recruiting. He is an outstanding coach, a players coach, and he has been and will continue to be successful. Easy to sit behind a computer and make allegations about someone when you know nothing about the person you are talking about. High character there bud.

...

You know we got whipped by Tennessee when our fans are now accusing that terrible program of cheating.

I've been snooping around UGA and Auburn and other SEC boards lately and there's not a team or coach talked about more than UT and Pruitt by their posters and mostly in a positive way, accusing us of cheating or they're afraid of what's happening with UT's soon to be back program. Feels good to have a real AD and FB Coach in place. These SEC rivals of ours see what's happening more than some of our fans.

Can't wait for NSD.

That’s usually a good sign. Doubt they were saying that about Lyle.

Bingo. It’ll be a cycle of which team has an older team or which team has the best QB and things like that.

I’ll get flamed for this a bit but I think that starts next year. And I think we have the best QB.

Can anyone inject some good recruiting news into my veins? After the Mizzou loss it seems like we've lost a ton of momentum on some of these prized recruits.
