I agree. Dobbs was the best quarterback we've had since Manning. He made some mistakes, but so did Manning. Just never understood why so many were down on him. Also, great character-- everything you'd want.

Dobbs is my second favorite Vol QB ever.

Imo Mizzu was at best 7-10 points better than us yesterday. Jg doesn't get hurt, no on side kick or we play flawless and we still lose by 7-10 imo

The pick near the end of the half was an absolute back breaker. It put us in a very untenable position. Even with a TD to start the second half, we're down two scores instead of being ahead.

I agree with this one. Play action in that situation is stupid, especially considering how awful we have been against just about any blitz package the opposing DC dials up.

TN doesn't allow for that. Pruitt will be lucky to get 4 years if he doesn't show much more progress than that (*relatively speaking) and he checks all of the 'culture' boxes.

Not blaming Leach but I feel strongly on how his time here would have played out also and it greatly differs from yours.

Do you have any basis for your opinion or is it just arbitrary? Because his track record shows he'll have success even at the crappies of schools.

We were driving down the field. I'd already added at least three points and knew we were getting the ball back at the beginning of the third. The fact that it was an interception plus a touchdown just took the life out of the players. Mizzou is a really good team. They may be ranked after all is said and done.

And frickin' Urban got lucky again when the Maryland QB missed a wide open target for the game-winner in OT. I am a Raiders fan, so I have already chalked up the rest of my Sundays to a big fat L.

He clearly has a very strong bias against JG and has all year. You cannot take anything he says about him with any sort of seriousness because he pretty much hates him.

I agree and I love the Iceman. Both are two of the most criminally under-appreciated QB we have ever had.

I think if he stays healthy and we get him an OL that can keep him upright, we will look back and say he was great.

We take all those throws in the Auburn game for granted. Very few college QBs could have made as many of those as he did. And he’s done that in multiple games when he’s been given time.

I’m a big time JG fan and have been since last year.

Not realistic and guys like him will not come if you fire Helton. Don’t want Bobby Petrino and Hugh Freeze is not allowed. Got to quit firing coaches.

Well, you are right that he was the worst of the ones I mentioned. But the others played all 4 years. Stafford had 3400 yards, 25 TD’s, and 10 INT as a junior. If we start the conversation with JG being very good, then Stafford was better (so far) wherever you put him. Aaron Murray was, too. Sometimes I get them confused in college.

Some of his long plays have been underthown. Anticipation is not great. I just can’t put him in that category right now. I hope he gets there.
