Season highlight.Life as a Tennessee fan
Preseason “We are going to be much better than everyone thinks”
Week 1 “Man we suck”
Week 2 “Alright, week 1 opponent is going to win it all. We are still going to shock people.”
Week 3 “ See y’all were worried about nothing.”
Week 4 “Why can’t we beat Florida??? We suck so bad. Going 3-9.”
Week 5 “Whoa. Yeah we lost to Georgia but Pruitt showing improvement. We aren’t THAT bad.”
Week 6 “BOOM!!!! We have a coach. Next year we are going to run this thing.”
Week 7 “Why do we play them every year? We suck. This isn’t a rivalry.”
Week 8 “ Will Muschamp? Why can’t we beat him? He owns us and we still suck.”
Week 9 “Freaking Charlotte is the 13th grade and we can’t move the football. Is it basketball season yet?”
Week 10 “BOOM!!!! We are going to be back sooner than later. 2020 National Championship run coming up.”
Week 11 “Annnnnnnnnnd we suck again”
Agree with most of this but it's disappointing the way everyone paints the "other" QB when pointing out their favorite.
I prefer JG but Chryst has had no starts.
JG threw 2 interceptions in 1 game also against Florida. While going 7 of 18, I would add. I see Simonton didn't mention any of that.
JG is better but why our fans and media feel the need to omit facts and trash the other guy, is beyond me.
Next Saturday will come down to a single thing: want to. Do these players want to go to a bowl? Personally i dont think they do.
The Titans are just kind of annoying to me. Get tired of hearing about them all the time in the mid state. They can move the team elsewhere for all I care.
Their fanbase is actually pretty small in Nashville/Middle TN. A lot of transplants who root for other teams. Most sports bars on NFL Sundays in Nashville are filled with fans of teams from the Northeast or Midwest. Might be a little better now for the Titans since they've had a little success but from 2010-2016 or so they had pathetic representation across town.
I live in Charlotte now and this city supports the Panthers across the board even though there are tons of transplants here too.
I will disagree that the fanbase is small.
I go to plenty of bars to watch games with lots of Titans fans
I'll give you there is a diverse group but you are selling the Titans fans short
I moved at the beginning of the 2016 season so things have probably improved since then. But I spent tons of time in Midtown and on 21st Avenue (Double Dogs, Sam's before that) for several years and Titans fans didn't show up like Panthers/Saints/Falcons fans do on gameday. They were there sure but they didn't take over bars and there wasn't a near unanimous support throughout the city like you see for other teams.
Did anyone else notice yesterday on TV when JG was going to the tent he looked at someone on the team and clearly said "F U Man " ? I am not convinced, and haven't been convinced everyone on the team likes him, but I just thought that was bad considering he was hurt and going to get checked out. Chemistry is everything to a football team...
