Analogy is fine. It shows that cherry picking most stats does not paint the whole picture. People desperately want JG to be a great QB because UT is stuck with him for 2 more years. No sane person says "yeah, this is the guy I want leading the sports team I root for!"..
Maybe he can turn the corner next year and learn how to read a defense, or scramble effectively, or notice incoming pressure, or not stare down his receivers, or handle the speed of the game. One of the worst teams in Tennessee history beat two ranked teams this year, anything is possible.
He is the guy right now. He can read a defense. He can handle the speed of the game. Why? Because Pruitt says he is the starter. Pruitt has said time and time again that the best oerson plays. We know this is true because of the guys he has played this season. So what, he is just going to sit the better QB for the simple fact that he is stuck with JG? That makes perfect sense. Perfect example of why the crticisims are moot.
Kind of strange how the OL plays very good and the offense looks great. Sports analysts have said it. Coaches have said it. Broadcasters have said it. The biggest problem is our OL. Not JG. Now, I guess they all could be wrong and the people on VN who have zero ability to accurately judge a QB are right. But sorry, I tend to think coaches and analysts know vastly more about football then the casual fan.
