He's a guy on wnml who, when he speaks, it sounds like he has just taken a double shot of novacaine and each side of the mouth before he goes on the air. He speaks in a very loud monotonewith his lips making popping sounds in the michrophone and for me it is almost impossible to keep from laughing when I hear him try to speak. From what I gather his only claim to fame is that for some reason hallerin Hill is very impressed by him. I understand he used to be a bartender on the strip.

I totally agree and it seems that Will pushes Josh to go along with him at times.... IMHO. Will just comes off as the guy that stands alone at a party and the rest of the guests are talking about him. His personality leads one to believe he doesn't need anyone but himself. Good Post!

Relax man I wouldn’t go that far. Will West is a good radio personality. He doesn’t always say what you want to hear but he seems to honestly look at the facts and gives his opinion.

This is ridiculous. He gave his opinion on the game, which was the national opinion of what would happen in this game. The line opened around KY -3 and closed around -6.

You are being a Homer if you dont want to hear an honest opinion of what someone thinks about a game.

I thought UK might railroad us too. I think my exact prediction was that UK would slaughter us or we would win in a squeaker.

I will agree with some others. I won’t listen to Josh or Will. I can’t stand their show. Those guys are a couple of complete childish tools.
Eric’s show is the only show I can stand.

I think some people get overly caught up in what sports journalists think. These are things to keep in mind, in my opinion:

1) In that profession, stating an opinion strongly is often preferable to stating an opinion that is well considered and researched. From my limited exposure to listening to West, I believe that this accurately encapsulates his schtick.
2) Many in that profession have no demonstrable expertise. Will West is not a lauded former football player or coach. His opinions are based on no more input than what you or I have from watching the same games. It's not like he's breaking down all-22 video for several hours every night. He's not an expert at football schemes or talent evaluation. He's never been there or done that. No one is begging to pay him to coach or serve as a quality control coach. He's not going to be ESPN's next Ron Jaworski.
3) The sharpest minds do not gravitate to sports journalism. West, in particular, is not very bright. Certainly, not as bright as his co-host.

Really, Will West's opinions should mean no more to you than those of some idiot like JohnnyJava.

Maybe you don't agree with him in any way, shape, or form due to your total disregard of grammar. He is a form of a journalist due to being in communication. I am not an expert like most of the rest of the posters on here. But, you have no clue where a sentence starts or ends. LOL

I'm not sure there is any such thing as objective reporting anymore. The is a lot of adversarial reporting. I think a lot of it goes on here.

Will and correct grammer do not go together and never has. He doesn't know what the objective case is about. It is a sin to let children listen to him on the radio.

Will Knott and Will Dibeast I know, but who on earth in this Christian man named Will West?

Although, I'm glad I don't have a radio show where I predict our games. Cause my predictions would have been pretty much the same for AU & UK.

If he's any sort of real journo, he'll forget all about his prognostications. And when the Vols start competing for titles again, he'll be 1st in line to make fun of all the people who doubted them vs AU & UK.

To be fair he was almost right. If we hadn’t converted the Hail Mary to end the half, if they would have made those two missed field goals and if their 3 turnovers would have been TDS for them it would have looked much different.

Ifs were 5ths.

Granted, it seemed unlikely. But sitting there in Athens in the 3rd quarter, I remember being surprised when we actually fought back rather than roll over and get blown out on the road. You had the sense that if we could just survive October, we might have something for the back of the schedule.

uhm, Kentucky was ranked number 11 in the nation and the week prior UT couldn't stop South Carolina late in the 4th quarter. love the Vols and picked them to lose to UK. I don't listen to WNML anymore though because I get tired of it. I am more into WDVX now.
