Amateur Hour Continues

You'd rather they insult us behind our back? The world only respects us when they need us to solve their problems, yet they rarely come running to help us with our problems. Any other time we are just "dirty, unenlightened Americans".
You didn't see all those countries pouring money into Mexico Beach? And to help the people burned out by the California wildfires? OR tornadoes in the midwest?

Me neither.

Wrong ... the ideology was Germany’s Lust for power and greed . You can try to say it’s nationalism if you want but it boils down to a country’s power grab . Nationalism / patriotism is a love of your country , the left can try to Bastardize the terms all they want to for your globalist agenda but it will always be the same for me .
Every professor at the War College and professors of International Relations and Foreign Policy State otherwise along with every damn historical and policy publication on international relations and WWI.

Does that include blowing off the vets in France?
I''l have to take a pass on that one. I was out of the country and don't know any of the particulars.

Politicians lie. All of them. Some lie and do nothing good. Some lie and do good things. Trump is in the latter category. imho, it is a matter of perspective. He has done more good in his 2 years than Zero did in eight. If he stumbles a few times, I can live with it.

So you believe Germany’s war on Europe was because of nationalism ? Not to have more riches, land , or to rule over others ?

It depends on what you mean by nationalism. You’re using it in very extreme terms.

Modern day Germany was literally founded on nationalism. It was the only thing that held the German states together before WWI. German Nationalism was back by German militarism, which in turn led to German expansionism. Which would come head to head which the nationalism and militarism of Great Britain, and France.

Isn’t every country founded on nationalism ?

Sorry to change the subject, but several years ago (maybe 15 or 20) I remember watching a news cast when some of the French were pissed at the US over something. They showed protesters showing up in Normandy carrying signs and disrupting the services.
One sign especially caught my eye and it said "get your garbage off our soil". This was at a American cemetery filled with hundreds of WWII veterans that gave their life to reclaim France and the rest of Europe from a tyrannical Germany.
You're welcome France, we'll take our marbles and go home now and let you and the rest of your metrosexual European countries defend yourself.

I’m using it in the correct term not the watered down term that is used today.

“At the heart of nationalism lies the belief that humanity is (or ought to be) divided into nations, and that nations are (or ought to be) the basis of independent sovereign states. The basic problem of nationalism is the difficulty (if not impossibility) in making political facts correspond to the national ideal. As a result, scholarship on nationalism deals with complex issues regarding the nature of identity and belonging, as well as the origins and legitimacy of the international system of nation-states.”

Each year the French and Dutch citizens adopt an American soldiers grave care for it through out the year.

So why are you against nationalism?

Can you make the argument as to why nationalism would be inherently wrong? By that definition, every nation on by the planet is nationalistic, yet you're arguing as though it makes them all Nazi or something, which obviously isn't the case.

Nationalism is an emotion just like radical Islam. It is tribal, dehumanizing. It is fear. The opposite of Patriotism. Patriotism is a bond. Patriots know that no matter your color creed or birth of family origin. And you don’t like your country because of emotion. You love it because of the good actions that have been done in its name and for the ability to recognize the wrong actions done in its name and correct them. Patriots see the bigger picture. Nationalist are narrow minded and see only what they want to see.
