2018 Midterm Election Thread

It’s all over Vox. Wondering why with such a huge advantage in the overall popular vote, why more seats weren’t gained. I didn’t realize my district congressional race was subject to a national popular vote. Missed that day in my civics class
What's funny is that liberals are big critics now of these "nationalized" Congressional and Senate elections, yet when they don't go their way, they point to stuff like this in an attempt to talk about how its unfair they don't have larger majorities in the House and Senate.

And it starts...

https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/07/poli...ace-bill-nelson-rick-scott-recount/index.html

Florida Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson called Wednesday for a recount in his race for re-election against Republican Gov. Rick Scott.

In a statement from Nelson's office, the longtime incumbent said Scott had prematurely declared victory in the race, which CNN has not yet called.

In Florida, an automatic recount is triggered when the final margin is less than .5% and is not triggered by candidate requests. Votes were still being counted Wednesday morning, but Scott's lead was within that margin, according to CNN projections. The initial vote count won't be finalized until Saturday at noon.

CNN isn't biased. They are fair and balanced unlike FOX. CNN doesn't have an agenda.

Decorum should be a qualification to be permitted in the White House press. I would fire off a letter to CNN giving them fair warning that behavior such as this will not be tolerated and further outburst would result in revocation of his credentials.

Isn't that what we want? To be non-traditional? Don't we want a confrontational, non-pc press to ask the hard questions and to hold our elected officials accountable?

Many seats won by women last night and the left has made many comments accentuating that. My thing is what does it matter in a party that promotes gender neutrality? Same with race. We’ve had a black president so I can’t see what the point of race bailing is anymore. The ones that screech the most about equality will the first ones to screech about promoting their special interest special rights.

Yes but they aren't to everyone, to Trump and to a lesser degree W they have been tough and in many cases way over the top, to dems especially Barrack O they were lapdogs

wtf is "gender neutrality?" Are you talking just hear yourself?

Weird? If you don't see conservatives on here defending ignorant comments made by Trump - then you aren't looking very hard. It goes on all day.
You started by saying that you’ll point out dem stupidity. You just couldn’t help yourself with finger pointing and somehow turning it into conservatives. If you can in fact point out dem stupidity then do it.

It was weird.

I don't mind the hard questions. I don't even like Trump. The problem I have is he had his chance to ask several questions. It wasn't an exclusive interview. Other people needed their turn. Bit was obvious to me he wasn't truly trying to get an answer, he was trying to antagonize Trump.

Are you capable of presenting an argument that doesn't rely on hyperbole?

Where’s the hyperbole? Your party promotes dudes using the women’s bathroom, women using dudes bathrooms, and abolishing gender specific pronouns. There’s nothing exaggerated about the idiocy of many libtard issues that they support.
