2018 Midterm Election Thread

He refused to be silenced by the Trump Nazis. Good for him.
How about all the other press in the room? Acosta already had a couple of questions by the time the aide was removing the mic.

Democrats have made it clear that it's okay to assault a woman (Keith Ellison and now Acosta) if you're one of their own.

Funny thing about Dean Heller... he voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act because he thought that is what he had to do to keep his seat - he was afraid of not being able to survive the primary if he didn't. As it turned out, it's what cost him the general.

He just shoved her arm!

CNN isn't biased. They are fair and balanced unlike FOX. CNN doesn't have an agenda.

Decorum should be a qualification to be permitted in the White House press. I would fire off a letter to CNN giving them fair warning that behavior such as this will not be tolerated and further outburst would result in revocation of his credentials.

I agree... but will stop at the part in bold. Egocentric narcissists should be stopped at the door.

Senate popular vote? What the fresh hell is that?

Utterly meaningless... and mostly has to do with the fact that Democrats won Senate races in big states last night... Pennsylvania and Michigan. Casey, in particular, opened up a can of whoop ass against a weak opponent... but yeah, it is a very stupid thing to point out. Who cares?

link?

It’s all over Vox. Wondering why with such a huge advantage in the overall popular vote, why more seats weren’t gained. I didn’t realize my district congressional race was subject to a national popular vote. Missed that day in my civics class
Poplular vote and gerrymandering. The 2 new Democrat fall backs.

Link to what? Heller lost to Rosen. She made a big point of his vote to repeal Obamacare without a replacement. I was in Vegas last month and saw one of her ads... It was a big point of emphasis in her campaign that Heller didn't care about people with pre-existing conditions.

So Joy Behar thinks Democrats lost the senate due to gerrymandering. Uh Joy, do you know what gerrymandering means?
If she said that, then yep... she is a moron. I can call liberals idiots when they say ignorant things. Most conservatives on here defend dumb comments from the right all day and night.

And don’t forget that the California senate race was contested between two Democrats. But the whole “senate popular vote” thing has been brought up today by multiple people, and I’m at a loss as to why.

A totally meaningless, nonsensical thing they came up with last night in an attempt to make it look "unfair" the Republicans gained Senate seats. These numbnuts know that only a third of the Senate is up for election every 2 years.

It's like saying that Alabama might have gone 14-0 and won the national championship, but team XYZ, who went 8-4, scored more total points throughout the season or had a better point differential throughout the season, so actually team XYZ should win. It's stupid and these people know better.
