2018 Midterm Election Thread

I think it is relevant to Trump being President. I think it's very possible that Trump has misrepresented just how good a businessman he really is. That is how he sold himself during the 2016 campaign. It also speaks to his honesty/integrity.
I think even the redhatters have given up on his honesty/integrity.

I know you’re not a fortune teller, but I generally value your opinion so I’ll ask anyway. Do you believe, given the changes we are likely to see in the coming decades both economically and demographically, that the rise of a “relevant” 3rd political party is a distinct possibility? Or is the 2-party system simply too entrenched at this point?

Personally, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s borderline inevitable, and perhaps an unintended consequence of the current infighting.
IMO it's not going to deter both parties from squashing the third party, in this political environment.

True but most of them will argue that he is a great businessman. It is now common knowledge that instead of being self-made as he has claimed in the past, he actually inherited about $400 million from his parents. Taking that into account and what we know about some of his failed ventures (The Trump Taj Mahal, the USFL, Trump Steaks) and he is far less impressive than how he has portrayed himself. His "genius" is tied to branding and marketing; rather than actual deals and completed projects.

At least you admit he’s a better President than a lousy businessman.

It's the reason an epic number of current staffers are checking their parachutes and preparing to bail. They don't want to have to tell the truth about what they have seen and heard.
Like that is something unusual.

C'mon man, are you really this desperate?

He is an expert business person. You don’t attain his net worth without it. I assume he lies about the size but no one here could do what he has done. Even with, a debatable, $400 million dollar head start.

The fact is he is president and not bc he is dumb. How does a dumb person amass this wealth? Oh you think he only inherited it? Ok. How does a dumb person win a Presidential election? Oh he cheated? How does a dumb person figure out how to rig our system? He isn’t dumb. You all under estimate him at every turn and don’t even see it or reflect on what’s happened.

That isn't debatable. It's what happened. And you also have all of those bankruptcies to consider.

How is anyone supposed to have proof? Trump won't release the returns. It's a guess as to why... but this represents a serious lack of transparency.

What truly amazes me out all of this...

You guys think tax returns tell the true story.

It’s more evidence that none of you have ever stuck your neck out and started your own business.

Yalls ignorance is showing.

Why the HATE? Your claim to fame is returning a dildo from a lockbox!

Still finalizing tomorrow night's election party. Are GOP tears best served neat, straight up, or on the rocks? Also, any way to mask that Russian vodka taste that they tend to have?

The right will be screeching. Losers screech when the winners do what is viewed as purely partisan and even damaging by the losers.
Probably. But it will be put up or shut up time. Let's see what the Pelosis have to offer. My guess is nothing but subpoenas and impeachment talks and nothing with any substance, but let's see.

He has lied and embellished every step of the way. He lives by the statement :"there's a sucker born every minute."

LOL... Tears? Nah. Most will go back to work and figure out how to protect themselves from the coming stupidity from the House.

It's not hate over his inheriting money.

It's the lying about it hundreds if not thousands of times to make himself appear to be a MUCH better businessman than he really is that is the issue.

You forgot one: he's committed a s**t ton of tax fraud.
If he has, then he should be punished. If not, then you need to stfu. Anyone that can use the laws to their advantage is doing nothing wrong. You "counselor" above all should not only know that but you practice it on a daily basis to YOUR advantage. Or are you such a hypocrite that it doesn't apply to someone you despise?
