2018 Midterm Election Thread

What did he say that was funny? Trump did say that he couldn't show his tax returns because he was under an IRS audit (not true, you can publicly release your tax returns if you are under audit. Richard Nixon did while he was President) but did say that he would show them later (he hasn't). There are several possible reasons for him not wanting to show his returns and none of them are positive. Here are just a few:

1) He has greatly exaggerated his net wealth.
2) He has an enormous amount of unpaid debt.
3) He doesn't actually own many of these buildings around the world that have his name on them.
4) He has been loaned a great deal of money by Russia. (something he has denied up until now)
5) He has exaggerated the amount of money he has given to charity.

These next 25-50 years are going to be very interesting as the country becomes collectively darker skinned, not because I expect the country to become more liberal (which it will initially), but because I expect POC to gradually become more conservative.
Yep. When they figure out that the .gov is taking THEIR money for redistribution they will sing differently.

You know what it means, dont play coy with me. I forgot for a moment who I was responding to. I apologize for hurting your feelings and all. Prayers
I actually don't. Chalk it up as one more example of where you believe something is true that's in fact not....and your willingness to double down on your wrongness.

Wasn’t there an illegally obtained tax return that showed he paid way more than any of your heroes?

Prove what you just said. You can post your TAX RETURNS anytime.

I don't care about any of those issues. Not one little bit.
MY taxes are lower, the UN will be funded by countries beside us, NoKo has been weakened, Iran sanctions have been strengthened, unemployment is down, wages are up for AMERICANS.

It's a big deal though... Let's get Devin Nunes' butt away from the Chairmanship of the House Intelligence Committee and get some subpoenas rolling out... Adam Schiff is a happy man tomorrow night, I think.
Yep. Let the screeching begin from the left.

I'll go with all of the above

And none of that is relevant

And none of that is relevant
I think it is relevant to Trump being President. I think it's very possible that Trump has misrepresented just how good a businessman he really is. That is how he sold himself during the 2016 campaign. It also speaks to his honesty/integrity.

No one who supports him cares about his honesty or integrity. And I am sure no matter how you crunch the math he can claim to be a billionaire. It will only serve as a taking point. “He claimed he was worth x but it’s only y.” News flash he is rich as f.

You forgot one: he's committed a s**t ton of tax fraud.

POC is already such a wide definition that there's already a big spread of conservative to liberal ideology. African Americans are the most homogenized voting block in the country. I agree with you that will change and become more diverse.

I know you’re not a fortune teller, but I generally value your opinion so I’ll ask anyway. Do you believe, given the changes we are likely to see in the coming decades both economically and demographically, that the rise of a “relevant” 3rd political party is a distinct possibility? Or is the 2-party system simply too entrenched at this point?

Personally, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s borderline inevitable, and perhaps an unintended consequence of the current infighting.
