Not because their ancestors were mistreated... but because they perceive that fellow African-Americans are better able to relate to and sympathize with their own struggles, concerns and priorities.So because a candidate is black, they vote out of (s)kinship. It matters not whether or not the candidate is the better, just as long as they can justify voting for a candidate of the same skin color because their ancestors were mistreated. Wow.
...and the quality of a candidate does matter. I never said otherwise.
