2018 Midterm Election Thread

Using this dumb train of thought, I can rent a house to a white couple over a black couple because I feel more of a kinship with that white couple. Its not a matter of feeling superior and I dont wish any antagonism towards the black couple, I just feel more kinship with the whites. See how ****ing dumb that sounds lol

Im pretty sure he wishes he hadn't brought that up lol

Skin color shouldn't be equal to kinship.
In a Utopian society it wouldn't be... but it is completely understandable that after a long history of being oppressed and discriminated against, that African-Americans would find a kinship with each other and take pride in seeing one of their own on a ballot and want to vote for them.

If you don't think that happens all the time in this country then you are naive as hell. It does! I'm not saying that this is completely right; just that it's not racist and it is understandable for African-Americans to feel a sense of kinship with each other... and that kinship often does guide how they vote when an African-American is on the ballot.

Nope, still racist.

Who is the last non-white candidate you voted for?

And here's Ben Carson looking for luther's brain:

Not a ton of black candidates in my state who I agree with where they stand on the issues. What exactly does that have to do with the issue? If you vote for a candidate because they are a certain color, its racist and biased af. Not very complicated

It's not necessarily racist. And you're right. It's not complicated.

NBC and Fox News said in separate statements on Monday that their networks will no longer air the Trump campaign's racist anti-immigrant advertisement.
NBC was first to announce the change, doing so after a backlash over its decision to show the 30-second spot during "Sunday Night Football," one of the highest-rated programs on television.
"After further review," NBC said, "we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have decided to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible."
Fox soon followed suit.

"Upon further review, Fox News pulled the ad yesterday and it will not appear on either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network," ad sales president Marianne Gambelli told CNN in a statement.

Wow, Fox has more scruples than Trump. To bad the ad had already been seen by millions and they only pulled it because of the backlash.

... and the kinship doesn't just arise from skin color. It's from their shared experiences and sympathy with each other. The ability to understand the struggles that each have faced.

So you're surmising that all AAs have had the same experiences and struggles?

From someone who is intelligent enough to define racism without asking for help.... and then still doesn't understand what it means even after it has been posted? I am not too concerned with your opinion.
I dont need your help scooter, I'm trying to help you not make a complete ass out of yourself.

I know it hurts the left's feeling but looks like a good ad to me

Oh and silly me, I voted for Jindal so EAD
You asked me a question and I gave you the answer, whats the problem? I'm waiting for you to call me a racist.
I have/had no problem. You seemed perturbed judging by the "Oh and silly me" and "EAD" comments.
Not sure what EAD is supposed to mean, but I'm assuming it's some type of juvenile insult.

I'm giving you a 50 on the racist index. Well below Tums, CP, and a few others.
