What's difficult is that the head is on top of the shoulders, so it's going to make contact at times in football. Otherwise we wouldn't need helmets.

It wasn't late. It is targeting. But the QB caused it by sliding. That play is a poster child for why I hate the current rule.

I tend to agree. Not sure what the answer is though.

When the ball carrier decides to go low right before impact there’s really nothing the defender can do.

There’s got to be a way to differentiate between a hit with incidental head to head and a true “targeting”.
