Pruitt gets 3 Years

I respect your opinion. But to me bandwagon fandom requires a team to be good. We haven't been...in a long time. You don't have to spend money or watch the games to be a fan. I'm a Denver Broncos fan and rarely if ever watcha game

Who said anything about spending money?

I’m not saying you’re wrong; but I can also see using the term bandwagon for people who only watch when winning. That’s all I’m saying.

How can you be a fan of a team and never watch them? Lol. I think that sums up your definition.

Interesting view point.

What's the draw? If you dont care to even watch them.

I honestly keep asking myself that about Tennessee. As for Denver, I have just liked them since the 80s...don't get many of their games in this market.

I have actually watched most of the games this year...with the exception of Georgia, UTEP, and Auburn.

I liked Denver, when Peyton was there. 😬

If he gets a few wins against UF and UGA, one or both each year over the next 3-5 years....he's a keeper in book. It will take 5+ before we sniff a win against Saban's teams. It sucks, but we aren't beating Bama until we either go toe to toe in recruiting battles or Saban hangs up the whistle and clipboard.

We shall see. Many changes are needed, coaches and players, but maybe just maybe we shouldn't give up.

How dare you bring actual football discussion into this.

You dont see where some may think it odd that you essentially describe yourself as a passing fan, even questioning why you are still one, but seem so engaged here?

That's not some back handed "go find another team" angle. It's a legit question.

The interest level is what makes it seem weird.

Fair question. I used to be "die hard" Tennessee loss ruined my weekend and resulted in property damage. Hence my tag line about lightbulbs. Now I guess I am getting used to us being irrelevant. I'm still a fan...and love the team. Graduated from Tennessee actually.
And I enjoy riling Butch and Jake up tremendously.

I guess for me it's never really changed over the years that much. Losing sucks and UTs done plenty of that for too long. To each his own.

Remember the Bucket of Lightbulbs guy? That was me after the Dooley LSU loss for too many players on defense.

Vaguely.

It was a definitely one of those "where were you, or what did you do afterward" games.

Been several of them over the years. Both ways.

The Bucket of Lightbulbs is a thing of legend here...you can probably search for it to find the original post.

If we ever get good again, we need to have a big fire and burn all vestiges of the down cycle. The gear shift knob from Lane's Lexus and his office sofa, Dooley's orange pants and orange dog, the Smokey grays, a Battle of Bristol champions' ring, the Turnover Trashcan...all that shite. Until then, it's like a iron weight shackled to our ankles.
This may be your best post... Ever.

I’ve heard, but can’t confirm, that we have some folks around here who still consider themselves fans but don’t watch the games. Only watching when the team is winning sounds bandwagon-ish.
... Deleting the DVR even.. bull shiteimo.

8 wins great for who? If you mean the players, golf clap for those rascals. If you mean Pruitt, it's probably not good enough to get him a better job at a successful program. If you mean the fans, I wager that the prospect of maybe getting to 8 whole wins in a season is not going to drive ticket sales to particularly lofty heights. The economic times are changing; they are cyclical and the cycle is turning down. UT tickets are going to become less of a staple and more of a discretionary purchase. 8 doesn't get it.
If he’s doing well at UT why would he ever leave?
