Most TN fans still think it’s the mid 90s. Wake up
Good Lord!!! This is a recruiting thread not a rivalry debate. Open a thread on the "Football" forum a let those of us who DGAS what you think about Tn/Al ignore you while we follow Mr. Wright's possible relocation to Knoxville.
That's not gonna happenDon't know of one UT fan who would say this. I mean Bama is dominating the series right now. But it is still a rivalry. If JP gets us back to like we were in the 90's and the guy who follows Sabes has the program drop a little and UT goes on a run winning 10 of 12 again, it would not change it then either. It has been and always will be a rivalry game. You are wrong on this one but you are too stubborn to see it. It's ok. You are still an affirmed individual. You can still get a trophy.
What do you define quitting? I’ve probably gone to more UT games than you and live across the country. GGNORE
The day I feel like some of these "fans" around here, and type post after post after post of misery, negativity, and what's "real", is the day I just stop.
If you notice, anytime any good info comes in about a recruit, none of them are to be found, crickets; but, let us lose one or hear about one leaning elsewhere, and you won't be able to count the "he gone's" or "lol's" they'll be falling over themselves to post. I've come to realize that most of them are clowns, and try my damndest to stay out of it...as you can see, sometimes I fail miserably.
My son is 12 and has not seen us be so much as competitive in any game save 1. He hates Bama and respects the tsio but mostly because they embarrass us and half his school (near Nashville) is Bama bandwagon fans. I respect all the thoughts on what the game represents but the streak is so long we are losing a generation and you cannot blame them.At 30, I do not share Guccis opinion. Alabama is a rivalry. They still consider it a rivalry. If they didnt, they wouldn't smoke cigars after a win. History matters. This game is bigger than Gucci and his/my generations limited exposure.
No offense Gucci but your attitude is a Butch Jones attitude. Don't be a loser. Also, your limited experience with this game does not overrule a century of tradition. It is not hard to realize. You need to humble yourself.
I'd say you haven't friend. I grew-up 15mins from the stadium. My family has had the same season tickets since 1971, when my 13yr old father decided to spend his entire summer working in a furniture factory in addition to the mandatory work on his grandparents tobacco farm to buy tickets. The same seats have been renewed every year since. The people we sit next to, my father sat next to when they were kids. My grandmother worked at TN for over 40yrs. I obtained my degree from UT, as did everyone in my family that pursued a college education. I've been to well over 200 games, probably closer to 300. I saw Heath, I saw Peyton, and I was there every game in 98. I am a born and raised East Tennessean, my family hails from Appalachia. As a fan, Tennessee blood doesn't run deeper than me and mine.
As others have said. You are incorrect regarding this particular subject. Some of us would know.
Rivalries transcend records. I hated Bama when we were beating them, I hate them now.At 30, I do not share Guccis opinion. Alabama is a rivalry. They still consider it a rivalry. If they didnt, they wouldn't smoke cigars after a win. History matters. This game is bigger than Gucci and his/my generations limited exposure.

While I do believe in "to be the best, you gotta beat the best", I admit, it's a tough way to rebuild.I vote we go to the ACC for a year and whip some ass get our swagger back.
