The number issue is an organizational duty that falls on the HC imo.

Anyway if Lane loses this game he falls to 3-5 and can't win games in that piss poor league. He ain't helping himself and I love it
I agree in the long run, but I'm pretty sure the ST coach sent both of them out there. For his sake, I hope it was because of an injury

Let me guess. You're over the age of 35.

To us guys in our 20s and to the teens we are recruiting its just another game we know we get curb stomped every year. It's barely a rivalry.
I am glad we dont have people in their 20s recruiting for us. I am 42 if you wondering young whipper snappers.

Hate that players can have the same number. Not sure when they started allowing that, but I am pretty sure it has been in the last 10 years or so. Still, really dumb mistake by Lane

Can’t remember the exact details, but Kiffin pulled some stunt with numbers while at USC. He is kind of like Belichick in that you can’t trust him.

The stat was thrown out earlier: since 1970, Bama is 33-15 against us. That's 48 yrs. Of those 48 yrs, 24 of them, either Bear Bryant or Nick Saban was at the helm for Bama...2 of the 5 greatest college football coaches of all time. Of the 33 wins in that timeframe, 23 of them was achieved by those two combined.

Also, worth note, 4 more of those 33 wins, came with ANOTHER HOF coach at their helm, Gene Stallings. Fulmer was able to send him on his way, as he lost 2 in a row to us before he retired.
Some good nuggets

Bump
Why? Cause I have never in my span of joining VN have never done it. Feels good to get this off my bucket list. LOL And because we are way off topic and the mods will love me for this. LOL

I was at Neyland on Saturday in a section that I don’t normally sit in. I would say that everyone within a 5-6 row radius was at least 30-45 with some elderly folks sprinkled in. When we thought we had recovered the onside, a roar went up that I hadn’t heard since Jennings smoked Tabor two years ago. THIS rivalry absolutely still matters to people.

Guys/gals, prayers would be appreciated. My dad, 80 YO, rolled his 4 wheeler while hunting this afternoon. He's in pain. We think he's cracked a rib or two. He's in good spirits and we're waiting to get a CT scan. He should be fine but your prayers would be appreciated.
From my Colorado trip. Brakes went out coming down the mountain. I feel you. My 72 year old uncle and his friend were thrown from the back seats and beaten up pretty good. I had to bandage a head wound on one of them and wait 1.5 hours to get them loaded into the ambulance. Shock was starting to set in before they got there.

Scary stuff. Hope your dad is ok.

We can debate whether Bama is a rival. What is beyond debate is that switching Auburn (another old time rival) to the east and Mizzou to the west and picking up Arkansas as a cross over opponent would be the greatest thing to happen to our university since we hired general Neyland.

Struggling also. Need a Swanson post of assurance.

I’ve resigned myself to expecting a defeat. Just want us to play hard and show some glimpses that renew my hope for the rest of the season. I still think we have a good path to a bowl game even if tomorrow is a loss. Only 5 games left before another looongg offseason so I plan to enjoy them whatever happens.

He's tough. He was way back in a gorge. I was worried about him so I texted him. He managed to text me back that he needed help. I knew where he was going so I went after him. I don't know what he was thinking. I had to walk it out of a bad spot. Then he rode it out.

Prayers Invol. Keep us updated on how he is doing.

I think UT wins a close one, like 27-24. Of course, I've picked UT to win every game this season, but the Bama game, so tifwiw
