I think Houston has a couple really good receivers. Hopkins is fantastic. And Watson had potential.

That all said... The dolphins defense sucks.

The only thing I can think of is that it eliminates the need for two point conversions, in what would still be a 2 possession game

Yeah plus it was 4th and short on the right side of the field. Just seemed like a no brainer to go for it there to me

Looking at our roster trying to understand why we'd be working hard to convert a RB that has never played the position and while there are a lot of names on that list there are not a lot of players. We have a couple R-so's that have no starts of any kind and I would expect a promising lb to at least be in ST.

Also if we are making room for 25 would a guy like Zac Jancek be in that discussion or is that an unwritten coaching rule in situations like this?

I think what is worse about Smith being out is not just losing him as a player but another loss of depth. Sadly most of our OL are playing banged up and less than 100%. Do the Sullins twins have any cousins in school?

What's worse is the kid needs a win. He has been through so much and he is only 19. Football was his outlet. Just heart breaking. I wonder initially why such a good kid like this is dealt such a blow but I know that it is because he can handle it and perhaps his calling is to lead in another way.

I don’t agree. The Red River Rivalry, this game and the original Iron Bowls have always been one of the best things about college football. One side of the stadium for each fanbase...nothing the pro’s or other programs can replicate. And upsets are always a strong (to probable) possibility...no matter the rankings. I arrived in DFW 95 and wondered what the big deal was about. One weekend later I knew. Got hard core Longhorns and Sooners in the same Chili’s prolly local alumni that live down the street from each other! Not everything cool you read about from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s died in the 80’s...just most of it.

As most of y’all know by now, I’m married to a Dawg. We go to a home game each and two away games each. We’ve been to “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” for the last 9 years and we have a blast - we usually arrive at our RV spot Thursday afternoon and it’s just a great party...

Of course, the Knoxville/Neyland experience can’t be topped!
