Recruiting Forum Football Talk [RIP 9.3.2019]

I don't think it is. I just don't get the point of posting anything about it at all before it is out there publicly...If I found out something negative, especially something medical related that I know is going to come out publicly in a short period of time, my thought process wouldn't be to go on volnation and post something cryptic about bad news being on the horizon. Why stoke the collective fire of vol anxiety, rumormongering and conspiracy theorists on here? Makes no sense to me. Just let it come out.

Anyway, it's not a big deal. Trey's health and his NFL future are. Prayers sent for the young man.

Couldn't have said it better.

Most of the practice reports from the past few weeks have indicated Chance Hall had been getting LT work. Would expect him to get the majority of the snaps there on Saturday. But others will likely play too, as I don't think Chance is at 100% from a conditioning standpoint.

Pruitt noted yesterday that Chance is still on a pitch count, so h is limited on his number of plays.

Should have known it was medical in nature with the way ATLvol worded his f/u post.

Hate it for Trey. By all accounts, he’s a smart kid. He’ll be a success in other areas.
I should have known as well. I honestly thought it was going to be something like there being footage of Pruitt with a couple of coed's or something of that nature. More importantly though, I hate it for Trey. By all accounts he and his family are top notch folks. I know he has a bright future.

It’s trey smith. Blood clots

This could galvinize the team, if they're mentally strong and motivated enough. I've experienced it first hand. Loosing a teammate can definitely have the opposite effect but, hopefully, it brings everyone closer together and drives home the message of what a team is really about. I guarantee you that Trey will have a message for them...maybe that's what the team needs to hear.

Here's hoping/praying that this is a temporary issue for Trey and he can live a normal life.

Some in here need to take a lap. You know who you are.

This is so sad. Thank God he will be taken care of. Trey is an outstanding young man. If it’s not opposing DL, it’ll be business ventures he’ll be dominating. God bless you 73, get well.

And Ron, you’re a fool of you think we won’t miss a beat on the OL.

Would this OL combination be terrible?

Richmond - LT
J Johnson - LG
R Johnson - C
Niehaus - RG
Hall - RT

Or flip the tackles maybe?

Jahmir Johnson might also be a better LT than Richmond or Hall so:

J Johnson - LT
Carvin - LG
R Johnson - C
Hall - RG
Richmond - RT

I guess we need to teach JG the art of rolling out.
The poor kid can barely think and throw at the same time...and now you want him to learn to run, think and throw?

And yes to everybody before you get started...I have been one of his biggest supporters, but he just doesn't have...something. He is not awful, but he is not going to be consistently good either.

When I am wrong, I figure I might as well admit it instead of doubling down on it like the resident VN trolls.
