I honestly think, at least from what i have seen in his practice film, that KC will have a lot more interceptions.100%.
It’s amazing how cavalierly people talk about JG’s pocket struggles. EVERYTHING about being a QB is predicated on reading coverage,
pocket presence, and getting rid of the ball.
Having a big arm does not make up for that. It can’t.
KC is your guy.
What kind of procedure are they using for high ankle sprains, that allow them to be back in 2-3 weeks, because all the ones we have seen hamper the player the rest of the year until surgery after the season? Bama injecting some kind of voodoo to take away pain?
I don't think he is trying to get guys to quit. I think he is just playing his system and philosophy and not compromising.
A different way to frame conference realignment is to state simply: we want Georgia’s schedule.
It’s succinct and gets to the point that there is a big imbalance between our schedule and the ones Florida and Georgia have.
Just the plain facts boys and girls.
The Barn gonna love that! Now that the NCAA allows conference championship games in conferences that don't even have divisions, it's time to completely get rid of the divisional model altogether. The SEC should switch to an alignment of 3 locked "rivalry games" per school, and then have 5 more rotating conference games per year, for a total of 8 games. The math is really easy. You have 3 locked rivals, leaving 10 other conference teams. You play 5 in year 1, and the other 5 in year 2. Over the course of 4 years, you've played your 3 best rivals every year, and you've played every other team in the conference 2 times, and you've hosted every team in the conference as well as visited every other stadium in the conference. The conference title game would be the two best records, just like it is in the Big XII.
For Tennessee, our rivals would likely be Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Alabama. We'd still get Florida and Georgia every other year, and would also get much more frequent games with Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss which would be nice.
Other schools 3 locks could be:
Tennessee: Vandy, Kentucky, Alabama
Florida: Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn
Kentucky: Tennessee, Vandy, Missouri
Georgia: Florida, Auburn, South Carolina
South Carolina: Georgia, Florida, Miss St.
Vanderbilt: Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss
Missouri: Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas A&M
Texas A&M: LSU, Missouri, Arkansas
LSU: Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss
Arkansas: LSU, Texas A&M, Missouri
Ole Miss: Vandy, LSU, Miss St.
Miss St: Ole Miss, Alabama, South Carolina
Alabama: Auburn, Tennessee, Miss St.
Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, Florida
Let’s win all the other games before complaining about having to play Bama
Another ten years of mostly losing to them and you’ll change your mind.
Seems to me this is the simplest fix to charge back up the program. We don’t need Bama on the schedule to have a CFP-worthy resume. Georgia proved that last year.
I’m done with the series. No tangible benefits to UT in keeping it, and I believe it is within our power to get rid of it.[/
The Bama game has lost UT nothing since Saban got there. The problem has been bad UT teams. Fix that and then start the clever schedule strategizing
Well, that's pretty much been the case for over a decade now. Don't really see why it's so preposterous. He doesn't remember Dubose or Price, Franchione or Shula, not old enough. Even if he was, and he did remember those bums Bama hired, I doubt he'd bring them up...doesn't fit his endless, bs narrative of 'everyone else is great, and UT sucks'.
The debate of division seems very simple to me. The only games that should count in establishing if you play in Atlanta should be from the east. Then you can keep your rivals in the west where those games count as out of conference.
I agree. I'd switch Auburn and Missouri. Auburn and Alabama could keep the Iron Bowl every year, we'd get Missouri. Work smart, not just hard.I see it differently. I think now while we are down is the time. I think many other teams, including SEC west teams would favor this move because honestly its an advantage for Bama relative to at least Auburn and LSU that Bama gets to play us. I recall Les Miles complaining about it. Plus Auburn itself probably favors a switch to the East - they bring it up every now and then. Auburn is an old rival of ours and is a high quality (but beatable) opponent so that’s a nice replacement. Having Arkansas rather than Bama would almost guarantee us 6 to 7 wins every 10 years. Auburn would be tougher (theoretically) than Mizzou but probably winnable at a 50% rate like Georgia.
Bama is basically 6 losses or more per 10 years based on our history with them. Plus many fans no longer see them as a primary rival. I doubt nationally anyone cares much about the game. It hasn’t been must see TV in a long long time.
I think pride and nostalgia are the only reasons we keep it. I’ve learned when pride is a primary reason for doing (or not doing) something, you are often making the wrong choice.
