Dude, no. I didn’t even read your whole response but I know what your trying to say. If KC was the starter they would’ve known what offense we run with him and results would’ve been the same or probably way worse then JG’s. It gave us a little momentum because we surprised then with new plays/scheme with Chryst in. That’s all that happened. JG is the far superior QB, and when he lights it up AGAIN next week all you doubters will want to name a street after him. End of story. Moving on to SC
Between this debate and the Sapp debate you are taking L's like the Cleveland Browns. You must have some sort of personal attachment to some players. I don't know any other explanation.

This Bama Offense would slice up those Nebraska blackshirts.

They were playing a big lumbering 4-3. The speed differential would be un-real...

That Nebraska Offense would pound though.

Disagree about the defense. They had speed everywhere on that defense. Their front 7 were talented, big, and fast. They could play with anyone in today’s game. Bama is just bigger and stronger than most teams. And Yes, they have quick WRs and LBS, but that Nebraska team would match up well.

That’s one of the best teams of all time. Period. They would be Top 5 in todays game.

You seen that even a slow, lacking depth TN team could get pressure on Tua and even force a couple three and outs. Take a deep, talented, and fast Black shirt defense, and yeah Bama would have problems. Not saying Bama wouldn’t win, but just because they played a hybrid 4-3, doesn’t mean squat. They could rush 4 DL, they had Jason Peters, Tomich, Wistrom, and they had the corners Minter and Booker and they had size and speed, and had big, fast LBS and Safeties to match up.

That team was loaded with drafts picks and perennial All Americans.

Also, not trying to take anything away from KC. He truly is an SEC qb. I would compare him with Joe Burrow. I know he doesn’t have a great team around him like Joe does, but they play very similar. All in all JG is just better. Put JG behind Alabama’s center he’s a heisman candidate!

Wow! JG has a very good arm. He throws a solid deep ball. And dude is tough as nails. But he could not win the Heisman is he was playing college ball with an NFL roster. The game has still not slowed down for him. He doesn't process well pre-snap or post-snap. Has no awareness. Takes way too long to make decisions.

For comparison Clemson still runs a 4-3

I got a last minute ticket to the game yesterday and dropped what I was doing to go. Made it just in time for kick off. Here are my observations.

The lines are 99% of the reason we can't compete with the best.
We could not get pressure on Tua and we could not keep our QB clean, or provide lanes for our backs.

Way too many Bama fans at the game. Can't blame UT fans but it was saddest I have seen TSIO of the times I have gone.

Our skill players are up for most challenges and can compete with the best.

Our team played timid and tight and some of that is on the coaches. Would have liked to have heard Pruitt own that a bit.

Not sure I like the direction Pruitt went yesterday with his recruiting and player discussions with the media yesterday but he should know his audience (recruits and current players) better than any of us. As a fan I thought it was an emotional response rather than a calculated one, but I know a lot liked it.

Butch is a worthless punk and not worth discussion of any kind.

I was not an emotional response, it was calculated. He said it to the team at half, to the media at half, to the team and media again after the game, and then made the same statements again during his coaches show. He purposefully is spreading the point that if current players cant do it they will be replaced by recruits. Hopefully he knows what he is doing. As you said, he should know better than any of us.

Tennessee got next to zero pressure on Tua yesterday

He had to speak to it partially because he kept getting asked about his initial comment. Following his praises last week about the team working hard it came off a tad defensive. He didn't just double down either he quintupled down, to your point. His team and I am just a consumer but he needs to back it up and recruit because that is 100% on him.

Hmmm guess we watched a different game, cause we got in the back field a couple of times. Forced him out of the pocket as well.

Maybe go back and watch the game again.
1st quarter he had all damn day. It was only late game we got decent pressure and even then Tua more often made play. There was one on our end of field where we nearly had him sacked and he threw a bomb to his guy that had slipped behind our coverage. He missed the catch but it would have gone for a TD if he hauled it in.

I thought Pruitt owned it . The recruits that was there had to see playing time. We need tough hard nosed football players we have a lot of player's playing timed .

We all agree we need more talented depth. Playing timid is not a directly correlated to talent though or Purdue would never have beat Ohio State.

I think Pruitt and staff are at the point where they have an idea of the players who are never going to buy in. With only a handful of seniors leaving players are going to have to transfer out to bring a full class in and his comments are probably part of a larger strategy to make it very uncomfortable for those players

That was amazing be that emotional and still play discipline enough to be successful . Hat's off to Purdue and the young man going through cancer treatment.

RE: Chryst. He had a good quarter but BAMA was up 28 points and playing 2 safeties back when he was in. He didn't face the same pressure JG faced at all and it wasn't because he was picking up the blitz any better or even because the offense changed all that much. Bama's defense simply decided to let us breathe after knocking our starter out.

You really think that is how Saban thinks? Ok boys let them breath, back off, they have their second QB in so let's play differently. Kills me how poor JG faced things soooo differently than KC. It was still first half and KC coming off the bench haven't not played much to play like he did deserves more credit than your giving him. Saban doesn't win Natty's by teaching his boys to let the other team breath. He suffocates them. Us scoring 21 will be what he will be talking about in practice next week. KC looked great and threw some awesome passes and again he hasn't gotten to play as much as JG. The same OL was in there when KC came in.
