Why would you lie about that. He played exceptionally well.
He did. I do need to point out, they changed the whole scheme of the offense for him. Alabama wasn’t prepared for it. Good job on the coaches for that. JG is the better QB and in no way, shape or form does he deserve to lose HIS job. Go Vols

Guys, you can't take anything from the game yesterday. Just like Coach said yesterday, it's going to take recruiting. We have to get players. We have to outbid Bama for these players. The bag men have to step up. Coach Pruitt knows how it's done. Smart at Georgia knows how it's done. Both probably have dirt on Bama so they can do it without fear of Bama turning them in. Any 5* players should be getting $50K signing bonuses. Hugh Freeze knew the formula. He just got sloppy.

$50K will not touch the type players Bama signs. Albert Means was said to receive $250K and that was a long time ago. His high school coach got $150K. Fulmer know all about how Bama goes about their business too :}:}:}:}.

Don't know whether we'll win out or not, but a win Saturday night sure help set the tone for a run.

Will be really interesting to see what happens if he's banged up enough to impact his throwing. Take away the difference in arm talent and KC's the better QB hands down for sure.
Not even close. They changed the whole offense for him. Alabama wasn’t prepared for that, making KC look better. I’m all for having a good back up, but KC isn’t the QB JG is. JG blows him away.

Saban will retire, the next coach will have to cheat to keep up with out-sized expectationss, they'll get busted, they'll spend some time in the wilderness, and then they'll get another great coach.

Time is a flat circle.

Dang, if we win this weekend it is very likely that we'll go 8-4. That's crazy to think about when we went 4-8 last year and thought we'd go 3-9 after the Florida game. If that happens that will be an incredible first year for coach Pruitt. Just imagine when he gets better players in here.
We're not going 8-4 dude. Get it through your mind. IMO, absolute best case scenario will be finishing 7-5, as I said before the season. I very much agree with what Coach Fulmer said last week. We're not as bad as the team that lost to Florida, but we're also not as good as the team that beat Auburn. We're somewhere in the middle. I'll personally be very happy if we win two of our remaining four SEC opponents to make a bowl game. I think that's all anybody can ask for right now. Thinking 8-4 is as ridiculous right now as it was before the season.

Juaun Jennings is already one of my all time favorite Vols. So many memorable plays and he had an awesome game yesterday in the circumstances. Him wrestling that fumbled ball away from four Tide players was vintage Jennings. He’s a winner.

That was sick !!!! I know he fights for yards but there's a time when you just have to go down and protect the ball. He wasn't going to get any more yards. They stood him up and they started stripping the ball. Gotta go down there. He was extremely lucky to get that one back. He's tough though, Wish we had 22 guys just like him.

95 Cornroiders would go toe to toe with them. That Blackshirt defense was just as big, powerful and devastating as their offense. That team was a big, beautifully brutal roided up machine.
I mean I wouldn't be surprised if Alabama players take steroids or some performance enhancing drugs. We need to be doing that too. Cheat like a mully.

The spirit of competition is getting buried by the Alabama machine. It is going to get where almost nobody cares about CFB anymore if this keeps up for much longer. I mean no one wants to see their college team have literally zero chance to win because they are playing a team that could probably give the worst pro teams a resl game.

And there is no answer to it as long as all the best HS kids keep piling up like cordwood at one school.

They weren’t that big. Would possibly have the smallest starting OL in the power 5 if they played today.

Teams now a days are just significantly bigger, faster, and stronger.

Notes from X3:

1. Tua is Steve Young

2. What is going on with the Jumbotron at Neyland? First, they are only using half of the screen to actually show footage, the rest is blacked out with advertisements and the score. The portion actually being used to show the game/replays is so small you can’t even really see anything. That is a change versus years passed. Second, speaking of replays, they hardly even showed any replays yesterday on the Jumbotron. Wtf?

3. Keller played great. Impressive.

4. If Alabama wanted to, they could have scored 80-100 points yesterday and there is nothing we could have done to stop them.

5. It was embarrassing how many Crimson fans there were sitting in the Tennessee sections. I get it because we have sucked, it’s expensive, etc., but nevertheless it is incredibly embarrassing when the Tennessee sections are 20% crimson. All-in I would estimate there were 30,000 Alabama fans in Neyland yesterday.

6. Tons of empty student section seats. As a 2008 grad, I can’t even fathom not going to a home game, much less the Alabama game on a nice football afternoon. UT needs to do something to get the student body back engaged.

7. I’m trying not to be hyperbolic, but the Butch Jones cigar picture stunt is among the most arrogant, stupid, and tone deaf things I’ve ever seen in college sports.

8. Concluding on a bright note, the 21 points we put up yesterday are the most we have scored against Alabama since 2003.
