I need someone to come post my bail...

Agreed. That Nebraska team was dominant but they could not have stopped that Bama O at all. They would have scored some points because they were so dang good at the option attack, but not nearly enough to win the game.
I don't think we win out, but we should have a chance at winning most of those games, IMO. Mizzou's offense does scare me a bit, but the teams remaining on the schedule just aren't the same calibre as most of the difficult opponents we've faced thus far.Quick question. Why do folks say we should win our remaining games? Outside of the Auburn game, what do you see with this Tennessee team that makes people think we can win out? If we continue to play like this on defense, Lock may throw for 300 plus yards. Vandy and Kentucky play better defense than we do. Our QB gets his brains beat out almost every week and we can't afford to go into any of those games with any more injuries. I want us to win out too but I just see too many obstacles that we have to overcome. I don't know anything about Charlotte but I bet we're in a dog fight in all of our remaining SEC games. I'm not sure we can play a complete game with the guys we have on the team right now. I want us to win out---I just don't see it though.
I prefer the unrounded 29.7 as that is less than 30.Not sure why I put a plus in there, just meant average. ( 26+26+37 ) / 3 = ~30 (rounded)
Those guys blitzed us and I’m honestly not sure another first year UT coach has lost by more to them in a single season. But in an odd way it doesn’t bother me the way it would have under past new coaches. I don’t think Pruitt was trying to window dress to keep those scores close.
Other than Mizzou, I think those games will just come down to whether we can win the turnover battle. I don't see us winning any of those games unless we do. Mizzou I could see us winning the turnover battle and still coming up short if their passing game is clicking. Vandy I don't see how we could lose if we win the turnover battle. Our players are good enough to compete with the other bottom half teams. But it'll take more effort and better execution to beat them. SCAR, UK, Mizzou and Vandy always play UT tough. They'll all have something extra at stake.

Cant be much worse at least 50% of the time Trey was getting beat. And to slide him back inside would strengthen the core and allow the qb to step up in the pocket to avoid pressure from the outside. As bad as HE is, his backup would be worse. He’s at least 80 percent effective. He must not be healthy. But like you, I’ve been saying he’s not a tackle. He doesn’t have the kick step. Trey needs to be inside next year
We're gonna have to get the RBs and TEs a lot more involved if JG can't go. If KC's the guy, I hope Muschamp and USCe try to bring a lot of blitzes and leave plenty of quick stuff open for KC. I think he'll do better against that than if they rely on a 4 man rush and make him have to fit many throws into windows.Smith is bad at left tackle. Kc is serviceable but will lose games for us. Did anyone notice how different the play calling was though? I caught myself thinking several times, "wow we didnt run on first down." Lol play calling was definitely improved.
95 Cornroiders would go toe to toe with them. That Blackshirt defense was just as big, powerful and devastating as their offense. That team was a big, beautifully brutal roided up machine.I’m just going to go ahead and say it.
Best college team ever.
Yeah, I know it’s early, and there may be stronger players elsewhere in history, but the sum of those parts cannot be matched, IMO.
Nebraska 95... Miami 01... whoever could not deal with that. They will not have a single game go into the 4th quarter... straight through the NC. Makes me sick
To be fair, the only time we've seen Niehaus at LT he didn't look bad. I don't expect the coaches to make a change at this point in the season, but you've gotta think if we finish this OL class the way many expect that they'll try to find another LT heading into 2019 and let Smith be a mauler on the inside where he thrives. As bad as HE is, his backup would be worse.
