Kiffin ran the ball more in the second half than the first half. Osu made adjustments on defense and stopped them, it wasn’t because Kiffin didn’t “keep running the ball”. It was their inability to pick up 3rd downs and adjust to what Osu was bringing.

Stats never tell the full story, but if you wanna judge a coach/team based on that then oh well
And if you want to believe that if those stats had been turned around (Henry and Yeldon, 36 carries; Simms, 23 throws), wouldn't have changed the outcome...oh well, indeed.

Lol it’s impossible to know. Maybe bama shouldn’t have allowed 550 yards or gone 2-13 on 3rd downs, or allowed 4 sacks in the 2nd half. Bama got outcoached and out played that game

I would say it is more of the roster being developed with their individual play improving. Also I think there is more focus, both in practice and games. Finally, the players are learning the scheme. We're 2 years away from a more solid roster.

Edit: Where is the Bruin quote I was responding to!!!!

Outcoached, total agreement.

Has someone who has watched him practice said this, or is it just a conclusion based on when he came in?

This was posted in the FF:

"Pruitt has suggested Peterson is very far behind after his late arrival, and while he's improved his conditioning, he still appears to be out of shape. He doesn't look close to being ready to play, especially on defense against the best team in college football, so his quickest avenue to the field most likely would be special teams. "

Probably based on when he came in and what CJP said about it being the end of the year before he contributes, comparing JJ's September to everyone else's Summer/August..

Personally, I think that was just coachspeak, driving down expectations.. The only way I see JJ not playing our November SEC slate is if the games are too close for us to risk catastrophic freshmen mistakes (especially against the likes of Snell and Crockett).

VN says "hold my beer".

I've always been pro-JG. Thought his GT sideline demeanor was waaay overblown, as was his penchant for hanging onto the ball too long.

That said, someone here, maybe Hank, said he doesn't go through any reads. That became pretty obvious to me in the Auburn game.

I think a lot of it was that he didn't have time to go through reads, but still, even slinging it out to the RB's in the flat, his eyes were LOCKED. ON. to his target.

He's still our undisputed starter, but he's gonna have to improve on that as our OL starts to give him more time.
