Kiffin keeps running the football against Ohio St, Bama wins that game; but, he didn't.
He ran the ball plenty. Osu had 150 more yards and held bama to like 2-12 on 3rd downs. Those were the main differences, they couldn’t stop Zeke. Osu was the better team

So you almighty ahole geniuses explain to me how it would not be a HUGE upset.

i actually agree with you. I think this bama squad is perhaps the best Saban's had yet & I don't think any game they play this year will be close.

If we win, it's a MASSIVE upset, top 5 of all time, and Bama WILL NOT lose another game all year en route to the national title.

That said, we lose by 3 TD's minimum. Just not there yet to compete.

Practice notes...

Tennessee worked outdoors in a light drizzle on Tuesday as Alabama preparations continue. For the quarterbacks and receivers the individual periods were again about high pointing the ball and some back shoulder stuff building off that success on Saturday. Receiver Jordan Murphy was dressed but during individual work, Murphy was working with the strength and conditioning staff.

By the way, I'm not saying that JG would have gone 8-8 like he did on Saturday but he continued to show really good accuracy on the deep stuff again today.

On the offensive line, Jerome Carvin got work at left guard as Jamir Johnson during individual periods were working on the side. Interesting in that Riley Locklear, who had surgery the Monday after Georgia, was dressed and back out on the practice field. Brandon Kennedy who is rehabbing his ACL was working on the side as well. Tight end Woods-Anderson was dressed for practice as well but was also spending time during individual drills with the strength staff.

Safety Micah Abernathy was rehabbing his ankle during individual periods but was dressed to practice.

Defensively, plenty of continued footwork and leverage drills for the defensive front. Tracy Rocker did compliment Blakely on a couple of occasions for his quickness saying, "I can work with that".

Pruitt was not with the offense on Tuesday as his attention was with the defensive backs who obviously have a huge challenge this week with the Alabama passing game.

The linebacker work while we were watching centered around tackling as it does each weekwhile we are out there.

So, today I've been advising undergrads and literally the only thing I have time to do in between students coming and going is reading Volnation and the news. It kind of occurred to me that the vibe in here has changed so much, and that regardless of how the season shakes out, after Saturday our fanbase got a little bit of its swagger back.

Or, in picture form...

If that's what you want to believe, by all means.

Henry and Yeldon, COMBINED for just 23 carries, for 142 yds (6.1 ypc), and 2 TDs...compared to BLAKE SIMMS chucking it 36 times (mostly in 2nd half) for 237 yds, 2TDs, and 3 INTs.

I don't think there is any doubt that Jarret Guarantano remains at QB for the next 2 years. There is no QB controversy. He showed how talented he is when he gets time to throw it.
He’s still got a lot of room for improvement as well. I’m not sure he’ll have much of a future as an NFL QB, but if he continues to develop and his supporting cast improves, he could end up having had a great career here by the end of his RS Sr year. Hopefully things continue to slow down for him with experience.

Add another publication to the 'Kiss my giant orange ass' list: SBNation

Zero mention of the Vols in the Top Whatever (where they make a note of all things notable), Schadenfreude, or History of Mayhem Weekends (which maybe it's asking too much to be mentioned for beating a faltering Auburn team that's undeniably on a slide)..

6 of those came on the final drive lol.

He had 14 attempts in the first half, he passed it 16 times in the 2nd half prior to their final drive in which they had to pass it a bunch to try to score within 90 seconds. The score was 21-20 at half time. They couldn’t stop zeke, he had over 200 yards for over 10 YPC and they were dominated on third downs. “Going away from the run” wasn’t the reason they lost lol

I agree, they couldn't stop Elliott, that's no secret to anyone.

But, if you can't see the difference in the game being Henry and Yeldon having ONLY 23 carries, for a 6.1 ypc, and 2TDs...compared to 36 pass attempts by Simms, with 3 INTs, one of which was a pick 6, the difference in the game, then I can't help you, man. "lol"

Kiffin ran the ball more in the second half than the first half. Osu made adjustments on defense and stopped them, it wasn’t because Kiffin didn’t “keep running the ball”. It was their inability to pick up 3rd downs and adjust to what Osu was bringing.

Stats never tell the full story, but if you wanna judge a coach/team based on that then oh well
