It makes me wonder if he just wants the early games. Makes sense as to why he hasn’t elevated up to be the 1st or 2nd guy in the SEC.

It has its perks. Done early. Get to sleep in your own bed most Saturday nights, and/or watch the late games as a spectator. I get it.
yeah, i'm sure he's made a very nice living doing a job most of us would kill to do. and doesn't have any of the "out of the press box" responsibilities some of the "upper tier" guys have.

Tess is great.

Witten and Booger are terrible.
i don't mind Booger, but Witten, he just needs to relax. he brings good info, but it feels like he's forcing himself to sound a certain way, and he just needs to relax, and talk. it's like he's trying to get it all out in one breath.

I’m pretty sure he would have been the one toasted if 81 had caught that ball for a TD. He was chasing him like he made a mistake, and Shamburger was trying to get over there to account for the mess up. Just what I saw, but he’s still playing at a high level for a true FR.

I'll have to rewatch but I want to say I recall that looking like AT was playing zone

Interesting comparison between time of possession and number of plays - especially against Malzahn's offense. Personally, I'm happy we've moved on from the Hurry Up offense and I think once we can build a stronger more effective running game (recruiting and development) it will be difficult to stop us on offense. Obviously we still have some work to do rebuilding our defense too but controlling the clock seems to be one of the feature objectives of our offense.

He always talks about the Vols. Unlike most talking heads, I think he just gets the program and the fanbase. I know he's said multiple times that he's been absolutely baffled by how and why Tennessee has been down for so long because the program is so strong with so much history and passion.

He lives here and very likely has a ton of friends and co-workers who are Vols. I think he genuinely wants us to do well.

This will sound weird but I think Florida is an outlier. I know I know it's makes the graph pretty. But with all of those turnovers and quick scores I don't think that data is reliable. Now many are thinking, but we got a lot of turnovers against Auburn. Correct, but we didn't turn them into quick scores like Florida did against us.

All hands on deck!

Find EngineerVOL now. Make him open every window and door in his house! Take all the screens off the windows. Can’t close anything until a bird flies over his newborn. (And no, you cannot release a bird in the baby’s room)

This may be the most important part of his VFL existence...

Agreed on UF. The Florida game was so weird, all the stats but turnovers were irrelevant. UF didn't really have any reason to take chances on offense in the 2nd half, so it's hard to read anything into time of possession or yardage.

I’m pretty sure this is straight from the book of LeVOLiticus. A signal to the gentile SEC that the chosen one will soon secure his rightful place on the throne.

I wore my Tennessee shirt to work on Thursday because I was out Friday. We have an audit on Thursday. I am still wearing the hell out of my Tennessee shirt that day.

He’s new tho. He’s got to feel lit his roll and comfort zone inthe booth.
