I also wonder what we will be saying if CPF goes on to win the SEC and plays in a BCS game?
"It's amazing that seven SEC teams and 50 teams overall dropped football to get us to Miami."

If CPF does bleed orange as has been said; I hope he make the right decision for what is best for UT.

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. 9 years of history is not on your side.

There would have to be a lot of breaks going our way to do that. We used up a lot of luck last year...

True and I guess that no matter what, I hope that UT will find a way to make it to a BCS game. Sorry I will always think that UT will find away to be a factor at the end of the season. I know this doesn't help in making CPF either leave or fired. I guess it is just the VOL fan in me. Like I said before I am not happy with CPF I just want the best for UT.

After reading the majority of posts, it feels that way. What I don't understand is this. If Coach Fulmer says nothing, he is not taking responsibility for the loss. If he says he is very upset, then he is accused of just saying what he thinks fans want to hear. If he wins, that is not good, because he will "hang on to his job". If he loses he should be fired now.
In the era of coaches that will sell themselves to the highest bidder (Petrino, Saban etc.) and could care less about anything but a big contract, I will always support Coach Fulmer. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll stand with you.

Winning percentages are for the coach's resume. Championships are for the fans and players. Players don't sit around twenty years from now and reminisce about their old coach's winning percentage. They remember winning the big games and the championships.

You are 1000% correct.

CPF could beat FL, AL, and GA, end world hunger, and give us each $1m cash, and many "fans" on this site would still be babbling, "But when did he last get us a national championship?" and spitting on anybody who feels differently.

Go Vols.

I can't believe you would use the word babbling in that post.

the 28 years before Phil are not on yours. The sixties and seventies were not always pretty

uh, yeah, you're the last fulmerite. the only reason he hasn't chased bigger money elsewhere is because it hasn't been offered. there is a reason for this...he recruits more talent than he can coach, and usually wins on talent alone. think about it...when have you ever heard his name mentioned for another high-profile job? because i can't think of any...

This thread has turned into a babble fest.

Any time anyone tries to speak up for Fulmer, it always will.

I enjoy football much more that football fans, particularly many of the internet message board variety.
