Same old tired answer. The point is that the NegaVols have driven the narrative every day since they ran Fulmer out of town. It's not working and it's time to let these 30 or so clowns know that their opinions were crap 15 years ago and are crap today! You can pass on bye too if you want.

I’d ignore the “being a hypocrite part too” if I was you! Lol. You can’t have it both ways. You either don’t like people spewing negative opinions of others all together, or only you can spew negative opinions of others but nobody else can. It’s pretty straight forward. I like how you threaten me at the end there too, but if that were true then you’d also look like a hypocrite on your “I just want rational and smart conversations” comment. Cause this is a pretty simple conversation but you just don’t like how I called you out on your flawed theory. We ALL already know the negavol’s opinions are no bueno, we ALL just choose to be adults about it and let them voice their bs. And the negavols aren’t driving the narrative, the players performing on the field are driveing the narrative. This is their world and we are just walking in it. Surely a smart person like yourself knows that.

He will not be the QB next year and if he is we will continue to be a bad offensive team. Strout and Mauer are both gonna be better. As long as we have subpar under center, we will be subpar.

Keep up, while I've always followed VN I just never posted here. Several of the nancies that are here now were NegaVols back in the day on Gridscape. It's been years since I had been on this site under an old email address. I don't do alt accounts and am easy to find as I don't have anything to hide. I'm in the recruiting service industry and have been involved with athletics for 40+ years. I'm doing this for fun and to out several of the NegaVol bullies that think their opinion is exactly how our program should be run. I'm for segregation of the miserable negative vol fans from the beautiful happy vol fans, that's all. It's time to kick them off the island, hopefully you're not one of them :)

You really should think about taking up coaching. Why would less talented, less decorated and younger Fr play and start over more talented and experienced Jr? If either of those guys are more talented Pruitt will not hesitate to play the better qb, I just doubt either of them will be next year. Strout could very likely never play a down in Knoxville.

I’m as strong of a UT fan as there is. I can’t remember a time when Vol football was not an important part of my life. And I’m 62.

I’m also not a sunshine pumper. Why anyone would think the team we’ve seen play this year has a shot at beating any team in the top 3/4 of the conference is beyond me.

4-8 this year tops. Good chance at 3-9.

40+ years in the "recruiting service industry" would put him into his 70s, slightly older than my own father who occasionally gets confused as to which website he's looking at as well.

Never said insider, but I do own a recruiting franchise, and we have helped 6000+ families over 33+ years in basically every sport, nationwide with the recruiting process. We've seen hundreds of millions of scholarship $ go to well deserving athletes during that time. Hundreds of DI athletes, multiple pro athletes as well as thousands of D2, Juco, D3 NAIA scholar athletes. I'm a big believer that athletics can help change a kids life, I've seen it enough to know it's true. You sure are nosey! Hehe!

I'd tap the brakes on "this is where it begins". Couple of thoughts come into play here. One, by now it should be apparent to any objective observer that UT simply does not have the overall talent and depth to compete in the SEC. We have a few playmakers, but a few ain't enough...aight?...and the glaring deficiencies in our OL are going to take time to fix.

Two, we might just be catching Auburn at exactly the wrong time. Yes, their playoff hopes are over, as are their SEC championship aspirations. They're down right now, no arguing that. This might be the right time to play Auburn. Or not.

And the UT game presents an opportunity for them to take it out on...UT. The outcome of this game is up to Auburn. Come out flat, and UT has a shot. Come out hot, and this is going to be a long game for UT fans.

If there's going to be a "where it begins" game, UT would be much better served by having that moment arrive on October 27th in Columbia, South Carolina. Win there, and they've got a very winnable home game against Charlotte; home games against UK and Mizzou; and then a road finish at Vandy. So a win in Columbia could propel the Vols to a 5-0 finish, and a very respectable
7-5 record. Even if they go 4-1 down that stretch, they still get to 6-6. Can they? Yes, I think so. Will they? Well, that's why they play the games.

I'd love to see UT beat Auburn. It would be a huge victory for a team that desperately needs that "signature win". But failing that, our best chance to finish strong comes in Columbia on the 27th. Win that one, and there's a chance...a chance, mind you...that the 2018 season was "where it began".

Go Vols.
