I don’t think Mullen was scared Franks was going to make a mistake. Mullen knows what MSU has in the front seven, and saw that Shoup, inexplicably, was playing his DBs 7-10 yards off the ball. So, he ate MSUs defense alive by throwing WR screen after WR screen for five yards a pop, and Shoup didn’t adjust.
Possibly, but it wasn’t really all that effective at moving them downfield consistently. I’m sure a lot of prep went into making sure Franks got rid of the ball quick to limit any mistakes forced by Msu’s Front 7, which is something we have failed to do

And I believe Pruitt and co. are playing the long game, and sacrificing points, and the lipstick on a pig, smoke and mirrors routines that would satisfy fans, to force these guys into learning how to play real football.
In 2 years majority of these guys won’t even be playing lol

And everybody including me will be beechin about this boring, uncreative and unimaginative three yards and a cloud of dust offense that scores 15 points a game. They better do better than that or the short honeymoon is going to be reeeaaallly short. Old school ball sounds nice and tough now, but when the offense hits the field and it feels like a trip to the dentist for a root canal...everybody will hate it.

I don't really think it will be that way. It better not for all concerned.
lol funny how you’ve flipped position so fast. It wasn’t totally fine for you to be borderline dog cussing Pruitt and Helton because they gave KC some first team reps during camp, but 5 games into the season you’re getting pissy anytime someone mentions that the gameplanning and playcalling are exacerbating our weaknesses.

And I'm saying the problem with the team from the coaches view is execution, not necessarily the results. I don't think they are just being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn, I believe they are trying to get the team to learn how to consistently fundamentally execute their individual assignments on even the simplest of plays before moving on to implementation of more complex "creative" plays. That is just common sense.
You’re making a mistake in assuming that moving the pocket every once in a while or running a quick pass on 1 st down is necessarily more complex or creative. You can vary playcalling without implementing more complex plays.

He never earned any of that big paychceck we gave him. He’s got a much more talented unit at MSU this year and isn’t doing much with them.

Hindsight 20/20, we’d have been better off just sticking with Jancek in 2016/2017.
He held Auburn to 9, UF to 13, and no one else has scored more than 10 besides UK. They had 28, but when your offense puts you in horrible positions constantly that kind of thing happens. His defense has been stout.

Man. Can't catch a break these days. My oldest broke his wrist on Thursday and is in a cast up to his shoulder. Now there's a hurricane thats gonna hit us on Wednesda. (Youngest sons birthday on Thursday). Which means I cant work much needed shifts this week.

Wasn't the Jancek thing more that just on the field stuff?
