Sorry I don’t accept failure like so many on here do.

Four yesrs has been the chant for over a decade now. And we got an OC for a head coach who can’t get his players even ready to line up for a punt.

When has anyone on here seen back to back penalties on a punt due to formation? A punt??

I dont even mean beating them head to head, I mean just the overall mentality around the program.
They dont accept mediocricy. In constrast, we have developed a loser mentality and if you accept that mentality you are considered an outcast, stupid, not a true fan, miserable etc.

Let's have this conversation in year 3. I can be patient until then. Heck...I've lived through the last 10 years, so another 2 years is cake. But I am a long term kind of guy. Mullen will fade. That I am sure of.

Are you under the impression the coaches are jumping at the chance to coach out program just because we love it so much. We have the money and we’re not afraid to spend it. The question is, who wants to take the job. Don’t forget Mullen turned us down to go to Florida.

Like I have said, UF hasnt dealt with anything CLOSE to what we have in the past 10 years. They have more NCs in the past 15 years than we have in the past 30.

They don't accept mediocrity? What about Mullens record at MSU screamed anything but mediocre? He wasnt some top notch coach.

Florida was picked to surprise by some of the talking heads before the year began. You know they get that stuff right more times than we give them credit for. Except us in 2016. Predicted to play in the SEC title game and Butch managed to coach down a double digit win team..We're cursed possibly.

Exactly. Some fans want to think just because we are TN, we can attract whomever we want. They just dont want to accept that no big time, proven coaches wanted to come here. Its sad, but true.

Yep... Everybody has money now with the new TV deals. It was never a matter of opening the checkbook and bringing in a superstar. We're a grease fire without a coaching tree or logical alumnus to fall back on. It's going to take an up and comer getting things right.

Not totally discounting your theory but Florida had 9 members of the Credit Card Fraud squad who didn't play last season return, including Scarlett. Those guys just sat around and hit the S&C full throttle during 2017 season as they were suspended.

I think by the time it's over, Florida is still going to be a lot closer to the 8 win team we thought they were. They've just run up against a couple of marginal offenses the couple of weeks.

I don’t know who thought UF was an 8 win team logically. Know some did but they didn’t have anything to go off. Lucky guess basically

Be careful, next week we are gonna need Mullen to have been the greatest ever at miss st, to use as our excuse as to why we get killed by auburn.


Mullin reached success not seen at miss st. He did a really good job there.

Whatever you thought they were, I think it was pretty clear that they had more athletes and were going to be a quicker fix than we were. They were awful in 2017, but that was due in part to suspensions. They had just come off back to back 1st place East finishes.
