Mullen is a good coach but his record here would be the same as Pruitt's.
He has SEC talent but can he sustain it?

And be honest, what would our class be right now with him at Tennessee? if he's struggling at talent-rich Florida, with all the success they've had in the last two decades, seriously, where would our class be at?

Agree, I'm just taking in general. We really don't pass the eye test from a speed and physicality standpoint.... To get where we want to be.

We have limitations, for sure. But if we don't find ways to overcome, or at least mask, some of them, it's going to be a November to remember for all the wrong reasons.

He would have beat Florida and looked better vs WVU.

It’s the beginning of October. Last year his class was just as good as ours

Given it's UF, more recent success and he's a tested head coach, it should have been a way better class than ours.

Not even gonna entertain your Nostradamus claims. He inherited more players recruited for SEC play, not a "finesse" system.

Yeah well what's he do on the actual football field? Right now he's beating a top 5 team in the 4th quarter in year one.

Mullen would 100% made our offense better than it is right now lol. Which was our problem vs UF. And his offense is more “finesse” than “SEC” historically is, and his offense that he inherited was pretty dang bad, especially the Oline and QB.

Did you even read the original question, or did you just automatically go into 'let me worship some other team's coach' mode?

I like Mullen but we need a great coach and a great recruiter because of how far behind we are. What would our class look like?

Probably about where we are now.

If you'll notice my careful use of the word "team" instead of players in my post.

Ok. I understand that we have some soft players, but it’s a coach’s job to play as a team. The team from 2012 to 2013 was drastically different and talent was bad.

Doubt we’ll see Mullen ever out anything less than a B+ product on the field. If Currie’d had half a brain he’d have just gone the dump truck full of cash route with Mullen like A&M did with Jimbo.

I don't think it's just the team being soft, I think it's a combination of thinks, I think the lack of a strength coach, lack of coaching in general, I think they're beat down. I think Pruitt showing the emotion post UGA indicates he knows what these guys have went through, have gone through. I dont think you can correct that level of bad culture in 1-2 years, let alone one off season. I think Pruitt is teari g them down and is in the process of rebuilding them. I don't think the '13 team was as fragile as this team. I also think when comparing this team to '13 I think many over estimate how bad this roster is.
