Yeah I'm getting a little confused on who said what now lol. My argument is, the two aren't really that close, as the one cat said.I never said you did moved them, nor did I say UT 90’s was comparable to Bama now. But 95-98 vols are close to 10-13 bama. Which you said 95-98 vols were not close to bama.....
3 really bad hires will do it.
If you pay attention to the media guys, especially those who primarily cover the SEC, they're normally right more than they're wrong. Folks on here think they're smarter than them, when they're usually not.Mullen is a veteran coach and not as bad as people here wanted to believe because they don't know the difference in coaching at Miss st and Florida. Seeing it this yr as morrhead ain't doing squat with that club.
Also remember all the media was hyping up Florida. Nobody here including myself believed them but maybe they were right they had some good talent returning. Also they weren't as mentally damaged culturally.
No doubt.Florida had two in a row but those guys still had success at some level. Champ recruited an all star defense and got a Sugar Bowl appearance and Mac won the East twice.
I think they emerge from that 2011-2017 stretch (which wasn’t even that bad) squeaky clean and set up well for the future.
Our bad hires just fail on almost every level and scorch the earth on the way out
UT went 0-8 last year because the players quit before the end of the season. Players admitted they'd had enough and just wanted the season to be over. They didn't care about beating Vandy, and avoiding the first 4-8 season didn't mean anything to them. The season wouldn't have gotten that bad last year if the team had leadership and held each other accountable. And we wouldn't be seeing the mental mistakes and abysmal execution this year if players had stepped up to lead.

They won those bcuz of Champs defense. When those players left they went 4-7. Their Oline is actually pretty dang bad, Mullen has covered it up. Their secondary isn’t great especially with Wilson out, they have very little depth.Mullen inherited a team one year removed from back to back SEC east division championships. I don’t think they necessarily outtalent is at every position, but they don’t have the glaring holes like we do at OL and DB either.
I like Pruitt, but I was excited at the prospect of landing Mullen too. He has an excellent track record, the “Mehlen” crowd is pretty foolish on this issue.
LSU is literally the same team every year. Great Defense with an average to below average Offense.
Yep.
The solutions to our problems lie on future rosters.
Agree, I'm just taking in general. We really don't pass the eye test from a speed and physicality standpoint.... To get where we want to be.We're not competing for championships with this roster. But we should be able to fix some problems this year. Watching SCAR and Mizzou today underscored that they are both very beatable. But UT won't beat them with the poor execution and peewee playcalling we've been seeing.
