It is not our job...

Thanks for clearing that up.

Don't you wish the fan base had kept quiet 10 months ago so John Currie and Greg Schiano would be running things today?

Us fans should just keep our pie holes shut other than to cheer for beg for autograhs... gotcha

Maybe? Who's to say we would be any worse off? I don't think Tyson Helton would be our offensive coordinator and I don't know that Pruitt is that much better than Schiano as a defensive coordinator. The hillbilly uprising has done more to hurt the program than help it. Nothing thus far by Pruitt has indicated that he will be an elite coach and Schiano showed glimpses of it at Rutgers.

Schiano certainly did not show it at Tampa Bay. By the end of his short tenure the Tampa Bay players and many NFL coaches in the league despised him.

If the players to which you refer are that sensitive, then perhaps they should not read internet message boards.

For me the Schiano thing had far more to do with ethics than ability. Personality I wouldnt trade National Championships for Schiano as a coach.

You don't know if Pruitt is a better DC than Schiano? I'm interested in what makes you question it.

Hillbilly uprising? Haha. How has it done more to hurt the program than help it?

Honest questions.

What's up Behr?

Just giving McDadio crap, and trying to figure out wtf is going on with our football team.

I'm also excited about it getting close to some cold weather. 70's at night are right around the corner. Woot!

It really goes both ways. If you think we showed improvement on Saturday you’re insane, but if you also think we could improve you’re insane. It’s becoming like politics where people are identifying their stances on things with whether or not they support the coach and team. It’s also okay to have mixed opinions on the head coach/team. I have to remind myself this sometimes, but we’re all anonymous here. No need to get worked up over opinions. Cause I know as soon as I close the tab, none of what any poster said is in my head.

Love you. Mean it.

I hear you on all accounts. I've been in TN since the Friday before the UF game and the weather is starting to get nice...although at the Titans/Eagles game yesterday it felt like I was in FL.

Seriously? "glimpses at Rutgers" is what you are hanging your Schiano hat on? If Schiano is so great, why wasn't he named the interim at osu while myer was on wife beating leave?..Why did he get demoted to co-defensive coordinator?...why aren't any other programs offering him a job?

Gee, I guess for the past ten years we haven't had to do anything else since our brilliant admission has been doing such a great job. (Sarcasm)

Because the other programs are ran by those with common sense. 😀

It is not our job to fix things.

It is not our job to provide advice on how to fix things.

It is not our job to complain to the AD or coaching staff about how fast or slow things are getting fixed.

It is not our job to "apply pressure" or "let them know" or "put our foot down."

...

As fans we have one job, just the one: to support our team, to support our team fanatically.

Lot of folks in these boards seem to think we have other jobs. We don't.

We have just the one job.

I'm gonna do that. How about you?

EDIT: added a few words in the third line because a lot of folks misunderstood it.
We all Voluteered for this. We a have our own ways of dealing with adversity. Some have to vent others don’t. Volnation is a great place for this. The only concern is how much influence does this board have on players, coaches, the Administration, the Billionaire$, recruits and other fans.

Many write this place off as having no influence on anyone other than other fans. Others one here even believe that if it does influence players or recruits it’s because they are soft and they shouldn’t be bothered by the bashing.

Just the thought of having a bad influence on the Vols make me check what I post. Maybe that makes me soft.

And most everyone in the NFL hated nick Saban at Miami and Steve spurrier at the skins including their players. Both fan bases were right that the coaches sucked and needed to go and yet they were/ are decent college coaches no? Chip Kelly remains to prove which camp he falls into but you could include him too And yes I know they kind of left on their own before they were fired. Don't get me wrong I didn't think Schiano was the right move for a litany of reasons but it's a straw man imho....
