Sweet!!! That’s a prime spot for my upset pick!! We gonna win, because my bro-in-law and I will be there, as will @mrMet.Noon kick at Auburn.
agree on the mindset part. i siap yesterday, but i don't worry about Thomas, Reed, Finau, Koepka or even DJ. they either have that competitive fire that they can feed off of, instead of viewing it as pressure, or in Koepka's and DJ's case, nothing ever gets to them, good or bad. they're freaking robots. lol.He is, but I have a little different view of him. I like his passion, and he is probably the best thing we have for the Ryder Cup, regardless if he plays well. He just wants to win. Obviously, calling out players is poor form, but I think he may have a point about playing with the "buddy system."
I think you are probably correct above about our player's being mentally soft, but Reed is the exception. In hindsight, the Spieth/Thomas pairing was fine, but Thomas was the one who played the best. Saturday lost it, but even down 4, you can't have your best players lose, especially when Simpson beats Rose and Finau destroys Fleetwood.
Thanks... wonder if we are going to target any specific kids out on the trail this week? May need to make up some ground...well, no game this weekend, so i don't know how big a weekend it will be for visits, but i wouldn't rule out some unofficials maybe? but i don't know of anything scheduled.
for the Bama game, i think Cround and Taulia will be in town. and i think there'll be some others in town. not quite as big as the FL weekend, but i do think we have a pretty good list of guys coming for that game.
Hubbs covering eventFulmer says Neyland renovation would be much more like south end zone phase 1 then east side. Will raise most of the money before breaking ground. Said he might break ground in December but may not depends on money and where the plan is. Said he will not be pushed into anything.
When asked about building an indoor track.
“I’m going to get football fixed and get that boat rolling (includes money) to help other sports.”
Fulmer on redshirt rule.
Proposal was a good one. The unintended consequences is that you can play four games and decide to leave. Fulmer says it’s a mess. Coaches want to control the roster. Now players can walk off after 4 games.
Fulmer was asked where do they need depth most. Fulmer said it starts with the ol. Need bigger bodies and must get stronger. Fulmer said the ol is getting better.
Really the whole team needs more depth.
Fulmer said he tries to help all he can on campus recruiting visits. Admits he does watch high school tape.
Fulmer said the program is recruiting well.
