yeah. but the story was basically written on Saturday. i watched Sunday until it just became obvious we had no shot.
i thought DJ actually played pretty clutch on Sunday. he drained some HUGE puts....problem was, they weren't for wins, they just ensured the match stayed all square. yeah Speith was not good, and i was worried about him to begin with. he's an emotional player, and there are times that when things start to go bad, they stay bad for him. that's not a recipie for the ryder cup.
woods just doesn't have it. he's never been great in match play. he can beat you up and down a golf course, cause he can make shots. but like speith, when things start to go bad, they kinda stay bad. there's a reason he's never come from behind to win a major. he's a front runner (maybe the best of of all time mind you, so i'm not hatin').
the american team, by and large was soft, mentally. that's where the euros have the edge in these types of formats. plus, i think it just means a little more to them than it does to us. you rarely hear US fans talk about a player in terms of his ryder coup/president's cup acccomplishments, just majors. in europe, your ryder cup record matters. that's why they love guys like Sergio, or Colin Montgomery etc... who don't have much by way of Majors, but has a stellar RC record.
well, no game this weekend, so i don't know how big a weekend it will be for visits, but i wouldn't rule out some unofficials maybe? but i don't know of anything scheduled.I saw an article this weekend saying our coaches will be out on the recruiting trail this week-- anyone know of any specific big important visits we have scheduled? I would think we are camping out in Wanya's front yard, but who else are we putting the full court press on? Probably very difficult week for us, as we are only able to really sell playing time and culture... could possibly point to some improvement.
- Rob LewisOne of the most surprising things to me about Pruitt this fall has been how much he comes across as a teacher. I expected a lot more ‘hellfire and brimstone’ from him, especially in the wake of losses. Don’t misread that, he can certainly put on the black hat and climb all over a player if that’s required. But to me he primarily has come across as a coach who’s priority is teaching a group of guys what he wants and how to do things. There’s been a lot more patience than I anticipated.
I think that patience and focus on teaching is exactly what this team needs this week. Will it matter on the road at Auburn and at home against top-ranked Alabama? If you’re talking about wins and losses, I don’t think the open week will matter, but I do think you’ll see an improved Tennessee team in 12 days at Auburn and I think where you’ll really see the benefits of this week show up is in November.
I think he’s referring to one player on the entire team Cordaryl Patterson. Aside from that guy the team was incredibly slow. This was also a year where Justin Hunter was post injury.
well PR is a dick, so that doesn't surprise me. lol.
Yeah. I’m working on it now. It will be uploaded sometime later today.@Freak Are you going to upload a video of the UGA game? My daughter had a volleyball game so I didn't get to watch it (I did track it on my phone).
