Fromm is special right? Well so is JG and stats agree

The Fields kid will take Fromm's job by next year. Fromm probably finishes his career somewhere else.

Jake Fromm- 16/22 185 zero TDs and zero INTs

Jarret Guarantano- 13/21 143 2 TDs and zero INTs

These stats even though Fromm has the much, much better team around him. Haters must hate stats.
UGA fans have turned on Fromm already. They want Fields.

Fromm’s currently sitting at 25th in the nation in total QBR.

JG’s at 59th, which is about as average as it gets.

Having said that, Tennessee has lots of problems, but JG ain’t one of ‘em.
Fromm also isnt throwing to Brandon Johnson with Drew Richmond and Jahmir Johnson blocking for him

Personally I’ve seen enough of JG to throw in the towel on him atp. Tough kid just WAY SLOW in his reads decisions and throws. He’s always behind the play, yes improving but not much imo. Tired of all the Vol apologists “Helton sucks, our OL sucks, etc. Not JG’s fault”.

To be fair the quick out short TD pass JG threw vs GA was a thing of beauty PRECISELY BC it was quick, decisive, on target allowing the receiver time to work the play. Caught GA off guard and me too. A flash of brilliance or a blind hog etc. whatever. Needs to happen 8/10 throws not 1/20.

Count me in the “time to give Chryst a shot” camp although atp I doubt that will happen vs Auburn or Alabama.

Keep up the good work Coach Pruitt...........I am behind you 100%...........and I am a critic all the time. /this team fought until the bitter end. PROGRESS..............WE PLAYED THE #2 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY EVEN AT HALFTIME. Depth is where we are lacking and it will come in recruiting.

I think Helton is holding JC and this offense back. Like I said at halftime "we've won many games with QBs that can't read a defense. Anybody with a cannon can throw an occasional go route. You might get a PI call, heck you might even complete one"

We'll both things happened in the 3rd quarter.

This team looks scared when they come out. We can't run block and we don't have an SEC level RB. Throw it down field and get Ty on the perimeter. We can "work on the run game" next year.

I was impressed with the time JG had to throw in the 3rd quarter and our guys were getting open. Based on what I saw in the second half, we can beat Vandy and maybe SC if we come out with a better game plan and take care of the ball.

JG seems like a good kid, a tough kid. I'm glad he's here, because somebody has to be back there.

He needs to take up a sport where his inability to read a defense, and bad footwork aren't a liability. One where his strong, accurate arm can be showcased. Like darts.

We have the number one dual-threat QB in the 2016 class. He has minus rushing yards in his career and has been sacked 34 times. We are 5 and 9 in games he has played. These are the facts. We are running a different scheme now, but he should still be able to scramble when needed. That being said, he has played behind some of the worst OL play we have ever seen. He is tough, competitive, and has a live arm. His best football is ahead of him, but let's not make him out to be any better or worse than he is.

Okay, I have been objective and open minded about our QB situation. I have been indifferent about who we play but this thread has changed my opinion! Some fans are Bat s**t crazy. Jesus can we please stop referencing STATS as as an indication of a good QB fml. I would rather my QB go 10 for a 40 as long as those 10 completions converted third downs! Stats are skewed they dont tell a story and lastly yards after the catch? Receivers inflate those throwing yards! How many clutch throws have other QB's made and how many have JG made? Reality is we have a kid with a big arm and nothing more! Haven't seen him scramble, extend plays, make clutch throws on a reg, look off defenders and lastly read what a defense is giving him. The line, while its been shady has started giving him more time he just still holds on to the ball a little too long.

Using your same argument: UF vs. TN

Feleipe FranKs 9/18 172yds Avg 9.6 3 TD
JG 7/18 164yds Avg 9.1 0 TD 2 INT

Man, you must hate stats because it is apparent the FF is better than both QB's. People don't hate stats as much as they hate those who use them as the only basis in an argument. Interpreting stats is misleading at best. It's the intangibles that make a great QB, not a completion percentage. If you watched the PSU vs. OSU game last night, you would have watch PSU statistically beat OSU in all stats in all phases of the game, yet they lost.

Special QBs win games. Fromm has done that a couple of times. Don’t recall JG ever having a big game. Or even consistently making big plays in the same game. Lol. False equivalent bro.

This.

The only QB on that field yesterday that's going to force opponents to gameplan around them was Fields.

Fromm is a better game manager. Guarantano has a better arm probably. Neither guy is going to challenge for a Heisman or even SEC player of the week on a regular basis.

I am a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. In 2015, Blake Bortles threw for 4,400 yards and 35 td's. And people would compare his numbers with other QB's in the league and point out how they compared favorably.

Except there was one problem. Those numbers were hollow because they were accomplished after the game had been decided.

Midway through the 3rd quarter, Tennessee had 7 vs. WVU and the game was already over. Against Florida, they had 6 points until close to the end of the 3rd quarter and the game was over. Halfway through the 3rd quarter, Tennessee had 0 vs. Georgia and the game was over.

Not to mention, the whole "body of work" argument.

JG is a tough kid. He's not very good. Sorry

Your lack of understanding about 4 quarters of football is laughable. A game isn’t over until it’s over. We’ve seen big time comebacks happen every year. To say a game was over in the third quarter is just idiotic, Tennessee had a chance yesterday when they cut it to 24-12. So do us all a favor and go watch your offense for Florida continue to be a crappy unit to watch. Better yet, just find a gator board and stay there!

All three of those games were effectively over.

You're correct in that miracle comebacks can happen but none of those games were seriously in doubt and the point the Gator is making is correct.

Most of JGs stats have come in garbage time. Sucks but it's the truth.

In this game he outplayed the supposed much better QB that had a much better team. If thats not true, then provide the stats that say otherwise.

The only stat that really matters is the final score, and it is here where the offense… and Guarantano… fall short. We have scored 12, 14, and 21 points against P5 competition. That won’t win many games, regardless of anyone’s individual stats.

When our opponents are still playing their starters then I don’t consider it garbage time. And since our opponents don’t think that, I can’t understand why anyone else would think that. All you have to do is look who’s on the field to dismiss yall’s argument.

Playing starters and backing off on defense with 3 TD leads or more isn't mutually exclusive.
