Example: Minus 40 F.....subtract 32. minus 40 less 32 = minus 72. Then minus 72 x 5/9. Minus 72 x 5/9 = minus 40 C.

Dang now I am confused and I even know the equation. Just so happens that -40F and -40C coincide on the scale. Older engineers forget this sometimes because it gets buried in their brains with other files.

Edit Actually correct but looks funny on verbiage rather than an equation. Kudos.
