The throws I've seen Chryst make - admittedly not a large sample size - have been on the money for the most part. He also went through progressions, anticipated the receiver breaking out of the route, and didn't hold the ball too long (maybe because he knows his limitations when it comes to the long ball). Chryst is a dunk and dink QB, just the kind we need for running screens, slants, and crossing routes with a bad OL.
As far as running, scrambling Chryst is just as good, or better than JG - who isn't a true dual threat. In fact, JG is sloooow! Chryst also has pocket presence, moves up in the pocket to avoid hits and I presume he is aware of pressure and knows when to bail for the sidelines - without superman diving out of bounds. (Still LOL just thinking about that moment.) Chryst is poised and mature in the pocket, has shown me a commanding and team management disposition. JG has displayed none of those qualities.
Not a one sided argument at all. But, I am advocating for Chryst over JG. I stand by my premise that Chryst is on the outside looking in, which is not winning him favor and attitude with his offensive teammates.
