You said a teams Offensive line has nothing to do with their Yards per carry which is a direct stay in how effective they are at running the ball. You also think Missouri and Pitt have two of the best offensive lines in the country.

I told you I’m done arguing with you.
Because it does have little to do with how good the Oline is overall lol. But if that’s your argument Mizzou was #2 in the SEC last year and returned all 5 starters, Pitt was #3 in the ACC in 2016. You have no basis what so ever for your argument

One sided. You are dismissing the fact that chryst puts the ball in the dirt every other throw. He is not very accurate at all. Neither was dobbs but dobbs had legs and made moves to keep us in the game. Chryst does not have legs.

The throws I've seen Chryst make - admittedly not a large sample size - have been on the money for the most part. He also went through progressions, anticipated the receiver breaking out of the route, and didn't hold the ball too long (maybe because he knows his limitations when it comes to the long ball). Chryst is a dunk and dink QB, just the kind we need for running screens, slants, and crossing routes with a bad OL.

As far as running, scrambling Chryst is just as good, or better than JG - who isn't a true dual threat. In fact, JG is sloooow! Chryst also has pocket presence, moves up in the pocket to avoid hits and I presume he is aware of pressure and knows when to bail for the sidelines - without superman diving out of bounds. (Still LOL just thinking about that moment.) Chryst is poised and mature in the pocket, has shown me a commanding and team management disposition. JG has displayed none of those qualities.

Not a one sided argument at all. But, I am advocating for Chryst over JG. i

Because JG has the tools to be a much better QB. If he didn’t he would be a lost cause.

I agree the frustration with JG is because he could be better (and I agree) no question. Now I see where you come from. Reading your comments since the spring it seemed more personal but I understand now

Plenty of reason for JG to get some criticism.

He has not been very good. Part of that is on him, part on the play calling, part on the coaches.

Equal blame to go around imo

I actually think JG has played pretty well. Threw a bad INT late in the game trying to make a play against FL, but I think he has played very well.

Funny thing about that INT, I see WR’s from teams all over the country go up and get that 50/50 ball. Our WR’s (outside of JJ) are weak going up and taking 50/50 balls. DB made the play, but our WR should have made it.

Pruitt has stated earlier this week that it takes all eleven players completing their assignments to have a chance at a successful play. And he has said it's not just the OL missing assignments, so we can quit blaming everything on the OL. We seem to have a perfect storm of a QB not getting the ball out quickly enough, combined with at least one of the OL, TE, and RB missing a block on what seems like every damn play.

What’s dumb about it?

I’ve read over and over on this board that the Florida loss was due to nothing more than bad luck in regards to turnovers. If that is true, Georgia should not beat us by 30 points as the spread indicates they will. We should be able to compete.
5 games in and talking about Pruitt losing the team? Little soon for that don’t you think?

It wasn't just the media who were only able to watch what the coaches wanted them to watch. Former players and others who watched entire practices were more optimistic. The coaches and assistants were more optimistic. Even Fulmer was more optimistic. The team practices better than they play in games, and they don't handle adversity well. They're not mentally strong and they're mistake-prone. We'll see if they can bounce back.

Fulmer was more optimistic? Says who?

I still don't buy that a team would quit 4-5 games into a new coach's tenure.

The team quit on Butch after Florida last year, because they saw through the bull. This ain't Butch.

While I agree with you, I will say what worries me is that some of the players will start thinking, "Oh no, here we go again."

I do think that a lot of people, myself included were way too high in our expectations for a team that went winless in the sec last year and had a coaching change.

I wouldn't say this is a referendum on CJP by any means, but for some people to have a legitimate concern that some of these players may throw in the towel is valid.
