I think it's quite possible that he assaulted Ford and simply doesn't remember it because he was too drunk. That seems to be the best way to reconcile the testimony. He's a little too strident, and the suggestions of left-wing hit jobs is not becoming for someone interviewing for a SCOTUS appointment, but his denials are believeable.

Just as possible that she was too drunk and though he was there while he was never there at all. Wonder if the other people, including her friend who didn't corroborate her story of the event, were too drunk as well.

its also quiet possible the woman who can't remember anything latched on to a name when she honestly can't recall. she has an obviousl political lean and is profiting greatly off of this.

I know, but the incident she describes is a little different. I think it goes beyond the ass grabbery of the 80s that apparently only you and I remember. ;)
