This is more like it. Take play calling out of it. The team did seem mentally unprepared, and that is on the coaches.
yep, the previous coaches imo, this team is so used to losing they choke when they think they have a chance to win, that isn't CJP's doing, it's CBJ's imo

Not sure why you think UF can get back to elite status in short order and UT can't. Logically, UT should be able to achieve anything UGA, UF and Clemson can. UT has comparable resources, facilities, fan support, etc.-- we just lack the personnel. Actually, UF is deficient there, as well, and they also have a new HC. I just don't see why people think other schools can turn things around but UT can't.

G e o g r a p h y. We will always be at a disadvantage to those schools.

He'll either stay out of Fulmer's way, or he'll watch Neyland Stadium burn to the ground. I've said it many times before, if the Haslam's or whoever railroad Fulmer this time around, Shiano Sunday will look like a tea party compared to what will happen, imo.
boy oh boy do i hope you're right

Just passing this along:

From the article posted earlier.

Although Gundy claimed McCleskey does not have to graduate first to be eligible at another school in 2019, Kevin Fite, OSU's senior associate athletics director for compliance, said that would be the case only if McCleskey received a waiver for personal circumstances.

His dad coaches at Tulane. I don’t know why he wouldn’t just go there.

If he thinks he isn't getting enough use at Ok state he dang sure won't get it here. The move just doesn't make sense to us unless he is just dying to be a vol.

Also imo he is Much better suited to be a spread WR than a pro style one.

If McCleskey is also a returner - bring him on if he can grad transfer or does not have to sit out. If not, it's a questionable use of a scholarship. The team is awful in the return game.

Yep. Our Return game has taken a big step backwards this season

Late to the party on this, but totally agree. It is a stupid rule in every respect. It is random (luck of the bounce as to which side of the pylon it goes out of bounds on); it is the most punitive a rule could possibly be in football (absent something utterly insane like literally giving one team points while also taking points away from the other, just because); and the cherry on top is that what it penalizes is exciting, gritty, diving-for-the-pylon efforts/plays. Just so dumb.

I've been saying this for years, at least since the Pig Howard fumble. Yet, maybe I'm wrong. I mean, if a rule was so ridiculously bad, as I think it is, why after all this time has there apparently not even been discussion about changing it, other than amongst Vol fans of course?
