Spot on, but unfortunately a considerable amount do follow them over a cliff while preaching how dumb the rest are for not doing it. Then rinse and repeat every new coach while proclaiming how smart they are.

Did you ever go to a Tennessee game where as it turned out you enjoyed and cherished the moment you had with family and friends more than the game itself. I have and hope you also can experience the same.

I think it's fair to say we all go to the game to watch the Vols. Or else we wouldn't even be gathered there. We'd just go out for dinner or sit home to enjoy our family/friends. Family/friends/fans are all a part of the setting - they come secondary. Maybe in high school I went to games to just enjoy my friends and really wouldn't even watch the games. Yeah, that was fun...but I'm not in high school anymore and now I actually like watching the sport. Trying to get other people to enjoy the game like you do is literally impossible. Nobody enjoys a game the same way. And trying to get people to do so...well you might as well go try and fight back the ocean. You'll have about the same results.

As I told Fred why don't you please call in to vol calls and give us your plan that is going to win out the rest of the year and please tell us who each player should be at each position.....now when things don't turn out as planned leave your phone # so all the whining fans can then call your house and start whining on you.....

I don't even know what "Vol Calls" is, but I'm not local.
Hard to call when you're deployed to Kuwait or elsewhere in a war zone.

Well, from what coach Pruitt just said it sounds like a REAL COACH to me trying to be honest with everyone. Didn't throw players under the bus nor did he the coaches BUT he did place the responsibility at everyones feet including him and his staff for Saturdays play.

I did not like the play calling at all but COACH PRUITT I AM BEHIND YOU 150 % ALL THE THE WAY. Fans we got us a great coach. It's going to be awhile but Pruitt is the one.

Sounded to me the heart and soul of the team came to his office to watch film and accept responsibility and try to PULL TOGETHER to improve. I think the fans should do the same.

If the core of the team moves in tandem then others will begin to follow. THANK YOU COACH PRUITT FOR TAKING ON THE TOUGH JOB OF COACHING THE TENNESSEE VOLS .

I've said it over and over and over. And I finally heard it on two different radio broadcasts this morning. this team wont be fixed until butch Jones' players are gone from this team. It's glad to hear people publically acknowledge it. Pruitt cant because he's trying to salvage whatever shred of confidense is left in his team so that we dont get blown out by 50 by every team this year. But the truth is clear. Butch Jones ruined a lot of these players by failing to get the prima-donna atmosphere out of the locker room and for college players they just arent around long enough to be fixed.

They all have to go and you wont see winning football until it happens, I dont care how good Pruitt is.

I'm behind Pruitt as well. However, we have a right to complain after paying so much, especially if you went to the game, for a piss poor product.

So please explain to me how JP is responsible for the recruits and players that are on the field this year..and again as I said to others please just call in to vol calls and tell us your game plan that you know will win out the rest of this year and who names we need to plug in at each position and thier back ups and leave your phone # so we can call you when the whiners want to bash someone. This is JP's team but the players someone else recruited. If your son was participating in on the Vols team how would you feel about the whining fans. If it was your son getting the bashing how would you feel. Pruitt did not recruit these kids but even at that they are young men and they have family who all they can do is to encourage the kid. So come on, lets encourage the kids to give their best.

Most of the complainers, whiners probably don't go to games and have never played football...

Whats talking about you.

Every coach wants to win, heck dooleys players knew he wanted them to win. That means nothing, what matters is can you win. Like mike tyson said, everyone has a plan until the get punched in the mouth.

As for people loving/hating him, some will some won't, just like everyone else. I think there is some concern there with his expereince managing personnel at.other schools. But with that we dont know all the details to make an accurate judgement.

BTW I'm behind him 150% too. I'll be behind him hoping he is the real deal and hoping to not be forced to be behind him pushing him out the door.

I have listened to people who are close to the program and know football much better than I. The reports I keep herring are very good so I am going to continue to believe in this coach and staff. It just seems now that it will take longer than I with my orange colored glasses wanted to believe.

Another "You're not a true fan post" if you don't buy overpriced tickets to see crap football. The fans are responsible for letting it go on way too long because they have filled that stadium for years. Vandy is better than us right now and can't get 15k hardly to show up to their games. Fans did their part ,it's on them to provide a better product or i don't blame them for staying home..
