We must haul in a good OL class at ALL costs. I believe Will Friend is as good an OL coach as anyone, including Pittman, but we need both talent and depth there. We cannot continue to function without linemen.
This, all day long.

He's slow as Christmas, dude. Just think of that Wildcat with someone like Chandler, Jennings, or maybe even Tyler Byrd getting the edge.
I think "slow as Christmas" is overselling it a little bit. He hasn't seemed noticeably slower than Banks to me. He IS however slower than he thinks he is so he needs to quit trying to bounce everything outside.

I agree completely with all of the last part.

Remember when VN grilled Fulmer because when he was asked about Butch's first class he responded with "Need more linemen." Well he was right and it's an error Butch kept repeating. You simply can't play in this league if you don't recruit both DL and OL.

My random ramblings.....

1. A lot calling for Heltons head, but hard to judge an offense without an offensive line.
2. Not trying to be a guy who blames refs for losses, but *** they missed a lot.
3. Tim Jordan is a tough runner, but he has the vision of Helen Keller. Should be fourth on the rotation IMO.
4. Our offensive line is disgusting.
5. Austin Pope... dude, wtf.
6. Shamburger never needs to return kicks again.
7. If Callaway can only fair catch, even when their is a chance for a return, then he doesn't need to be back there.
8. AT with a forced fumble. That was nice.
9. Pruitt coached desperate IMO. I know the game started bad and we were down 14-0 before anyone knew it... and i agreed with the initial fourth down attempt, but I didn't like the onside attempt and I think we took a lot of chances last night when it might've not been needed.
10. Speaking of onside attempt, how do 4-5 guys not beat out the one FL kid for the ball.
11. Speaking of Pruitt, he's definitely a first time head coach. He will get better. I don't doubt that at all.
12. There's a lot of players on this team I love, but this is also a roster that needs a complete overhaul. We are weak in many spots (Fitz isn't a miracle worker afterall), weak mentally, and psychologically.
13. I hate to say it but I turned the game off with about 10 minutes to go. More because I had to wake up at 415am than being disgusted with the game, although I was disgusted. I heard Banks scored a TD and he was running hard. Not being sarcastic but any other positives in the last 10 min that I missed?
14. Finally.... UGA was a stacked deck when Kirby took over, yet he still lost by 30+ to a bad Ole Miss team. Old Dominion beat the #13 ranked team in the country yesterday. Sometimes **** happens. Look at my user title.... I'm a homer and I ate the cheese and I thought we were a 9 win team this year. Reality kicked me in the face yesterday - we are a bad team still. It is going to take some time. Might not be until 2020 until we can look forward to a respectable 9 win season. That said, I believe firmly that Coach Pruitt will right this ship.

I like Tim Jordan but he couldn’t run straight ahead if he was on a runway with landing strip lights and air traffic control. If I see 9 in the game, I just crash the ends, bring CB blitzes off the edge... whatever, cause that’s where he’s going.

I like Pruitt’s aggressiveness on the onside kick and 4th down conversions. Play to win... even though they didn’t pay off.

Pope’s fumble... I just couldn’t believe that happened. It was a LSU UNC Dooley level of unbelief

I’m not bailing on Pruitt, but Ima shoot folks straight... I’ve not seen a single thing for me to proclaim he’s going to get it done. Personally, Confidence has slidden... but a lot of games over at least three seasons to turn it back

For someone UGA fans described as an ******* micromanager, I think Pruitt may well be a little too trusting of his staff. He hired a great staff but I'd like to see him more involved in the offense even if it's just spending a bit more time looking over Helton's shoulder.

I foresee a lot of ball protection drills this week after all of those turnovers. They all sucked, but man, that Pope fumble...WTH??!!

Not been a big fan of Helton's play calling but not sure Pruitt looking over his shoulder would help. Doesn't help that our OL is so awful.

Just think, if our OL was just...mediocre, how much better this team might be. Yes, defense has to keep getting better, and keep tightening some screws; but, no way do I put any of this tonight on them. Whenever your offense is getting COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED!!! like ours did tonight, the defense can only do so much. I'm not saying the D is great, but I believe it's a 6-7 win defense. Unfortunately, our offense may keep us from that. That's why I beleieve, no matter what, we have to keep our OL class together, and land Wright. We do that, and I believe we'll be much improved next yr, and moving forward from there. All other position groups I am feeling ok about, good even, at some spots...unfortunatley, our OL has us competing with Arkansas for the worst team in the SEC.
with a score like that, you'd think that the defense was awful, but it really isn't. Those turnovers. This is like a night mare. The truth is we could play this game again and win easily. Florida is not a good team.

Might be the worst game I've ever seen the vols play. Now on to play 3 top 10 teams in a row yippie!

Combined score for UGA Bama and AU games will be something like 170-17

Saban will call off the dogs around 55-0 but Kirby and Gus will run it up

I'm desperate. I really am. Helton/Pruitt need to rethink this season's offensive strategy, imo. If JG is healthy we need to air it out a lot more than we have been.

After sleeping on it, this may be the worst game I've ever watched by a power 5 team. What am I saying, I've watched toddler football with less turnovers..

Hard to do when our line can't protect the QB. But I agree they have to figure something out because what they're doing isn't working.

Honestly though, without all the turnovers, I think we would have been in this game.

That Pope fumble is going to give me nightmares.

That pope fumble was the dagger. I lost all hope when we did that. It just proved that it wasn’t our night. It was such a ridiculous swing of emotion for me. Nerves of such a presnap play, angst when the ball was snap and it looked like nothing was there, then elation as a wide open receiver is running down the field. Then.... the touchback.

I try and tell my kids to not be a sore loser and that “it’s just a game”, but they saw me yelling at my tv when that happened. Just embarrassing.

It’s one thing to lose to peak Bama or UGA like this... but this is near bottom Florida. Humiliating as a fan.

I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say I don’t think we win an SEC game this year.

I seriously hope Pruitt runs them through intense ball protection drills this week.

Especially Pope.

It was such a brilliant play call too. I think that made it even worse.

At some point in time you can't improve by coaching alone, you need some talent. We ahve very little especially the oline, OMG
