I really want to know what happened to break this team's psyche so completely. Last year was terrible but not terrible enough to produce this level of shakiness.
I think it has been a culture shock going from the last staff to the new staff. Some are not handling it well. Pruitt is selling them on a process, do what I say and things will get better. If they still buy that after October, it will be a miracle. I think some have already checked out. They're questioning their leaders.

Did they ever check in tho? I've seen more leadership from some of our freshmen than I've seen out of a lot of upperclassmen. In retrospect, I'm not sure it was all that good that we didn't lose the usual transfers that most coaching changes bring. This team has the same feel that our 2016 team had but with a lot less talent. Something is very wrong culture wise.

I know this day has been rough...for all of us but I just want you guys to know that I appreciate you. It's nice to have a place where we can keep it real and vent and complain and bitch and argue and then still have legitimate discussions the next day and all keep being fans. A lot of us in here have been here for years and I know eventually, EVENTUALLY it will turn but in the meantime, thanks for being a cool group of fans. That is my random 3rd shift thought of the night.

If he refused to go in the game and not dismissed...

Get ready it’s going to get bumpy
It depends on the condition Pruitt sets for his return. If they're steep enough and he's willing to obey those conditions, I'm good with it. If it's a slap on the wrist I'd say you're right. Remember, Pruitt says he's in this for the kids. If he think sapps rehabilitatable, he'll probably let him back.

If
Play the freshman. Build the future. We are going 3-9 anyway

Let’s see Shrout’s arm

Yea let’s use the Redshirt rule to our advantage. Young guys should get a lot of PT, especially McBride/Shrout if JG is hurt. Unless they’ve completely lost hope in JG and don’t want him back. Then play them anyways

I understand we have talent issues but we have some coaching issues also. The eye test shows that team wasn’t very well coached. Not sure if anyone noticed but twice we only had 10 players on the field.

Idk if anyone was watching the game anymore but on the rushing TD Calbert was fired up, nice to see. Another one (I honestly couldn’t tell who) was too

Tennessee ran the ball 54 times. 54 freaking times for only 156 yards and 44 was on one play! 2.9 YPC. Take away the run and it’s 2.1 YPC

I don't know if it's Helton, Pruitt, or both but they are simply refusing to admit we're not a power running team. We should've been airing the ball out a lot more. It's about the only thing our OL can block even though that's only on occasion.

I really thought our LB’s would be good This year... maybe it’s just me but it seems they are slow to get to the ball carrier. Even Bituli who honestly seems a step faster than last year imo. Or maybe it’s just the interior Dline doing their assignments and were able to gang tackle quicker than last year where they got to the 2nd level un touched
