Not exactly. Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Auburn all had historically terrible years while Mullen was there. He can thank Houston Nutt and Gene Chizik (and Bobby Petrino). What he did at MSU was good, but he feasted on poor OOC schedules his first 5 years or so. I said this back before we even hired a coach. We will see how he fares at UF.

There’s a lot of schools that feat on poor OOC so i don’t really hold that against them.

Even still not every team in the conference is always going to be good. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t auburn win a title and play for another while he was at state?

And bama and LSU were always loaded too.
