banking on name brand value. and that it is nearly sold out.

it's not usual to still have tickets available thru the ticket office for this game.

even more unusual that 3rd party sites have some cheaper than the UT ticket office.

definitely weird. if i was able to, i'd go.

Florida fans usually travel to this game but doesn't appear to be case this yr

I think they’d really be in trouble if they weren’t doing the 98 reunion/tribute. That’s the only reason I’d consider going.

Felt a ton of excitement in town early in the week but as we’ve gotten closer to the game it seems like it’s died out. I guess it’s just nerves but like you said, there are a ton of tickets left and I’m a little surprised by it.

It has been sold out previously, but I recall Florida fans packed into the nosebleeds. At least we can say most of the seats are going to be filled with VOLS. (and it appears the only ones left are the ones with back facing the JumboTron on upper deck)

Totally ancedotal, but I went for a run yesterday and my path took my by Neyland Stadium, turned around by Calhoun's on the River, back up Cumberland and finishing up westbound on Kingston Pike. This was around 8:00 PM last night, and normally a Thursday evening during Florida week this is a big night in Knoxville. It honestly didn't seem that much more different than a typical summer Thursday night. Not a ton of foot traffic, bars and restaurants seemed to have their usual Thursday night volume (Thursday night is the best night to go out to eat btw).

What was really striking to me was that I could hardly see any Florida people walking around. Florida fans always travel well up here, and not seeing them up here is very strange. I think that BGS is spreading through the Florida fanbase.

Yeah it's not sold out because Florida returned 5000 tickets. Vol fans covered their part. Now just have to cover Floridas part

Overall, I'm pretty pessimistic this year, but I don't buy the notion that if Tennessee loses tomorrow it means they automatically do no better than 5-7.

New coaching staffs often mean rough starts, but it can also mean pretty dramatic improvement over the course of the year.

It doesn't mean it will happen but if we can't beat Florida we are going to need some major jump to beat the next 4. Then Mizzu, Vandy and Ky are no slouches. We should beat Vandy and Ky still but Mizzu could test our young secondary similar to west va

With Baker under Center...

Browns look better than the Titans.

I would take their offense over Titans all day

Except hue Jackson is the HC lol. I told a buddy last night that Hue always has this " WTF do we do" face and Bowles(jets coach) always has this 💩 Eating grin on his face like he farted and nobody knows it was him.

yeah, it is interesting. i played in that alumni golf tournament here in charlotte the day before the wvu game and the two guys we played with were in town for the weekend, played in the tournament, but were NOT going to the game.

they both said they were in "show me" mode and weren't interested in spending the money on an unproven product.

at the time i just dismissed it.

but if there's a bunch of visibly empty seats in the stadium Saturday night, while it obviously isn't the majority of fans, that would at least tell me some portion of the fan base feels the same as the two guys i played golf with. and i get it, but man...it's freaking Florida....it's a huge recruiting weekend...it's the 98 celebration....

if i could get away, i'd go.

They have some players.

Landry, Njoku, Hyde, Baker

Titans

No WR, No QB, No TE now, OL is great but no one to take advantage of it

I think it helps that we play them all late in the season. We should see improvement by then. Hopefully.

Tickets have just gotten to the point where hey are ridiculous. Why would i pay 500+$ for a pair of tickets when i could get some friends over it and watch it on my brand new TV, watch other games etc.

This whole ticket bubble needs to pop sometime. Games should be at most 100$ per ticket.
