On James commitment...

Rivals’ analyst Dan McDonald has had the opportunity to see James on multiple occasions and doesn’t hold back in what he thinks the commitment could mean for the Vols. He raves about James’ defensive prowess and sees some early returns for the Vols here.

“I'm a huge fan of Josiah. I think he'll be a terrific fit at Tennessee. He makes everybody around him better with his playmaking ability,” McDonald said.

"What he probably doesn't get enough attention for is his defensive prowess. He's probably the most versatile defender in the 2019 class. I see him making an immediate impact at Tennessee and being one of the top players in the SEC as long as he's there. This is probably the most important commitment so far in the country in the 2019 class.”

James is a stellar athlete. His biggest issue he needs to fix is shooting. He's a very poor outside shooter at the moment and mechanics are not good. If he can develop even an average outside shot he'll be a very good college guard.

He’s basically SGA.

My biggest play last weekend was Vandy and the points. Covered with ease, and they really should have won the game. I'm glad the Mason brought up that Notre Dame was getting an incredible amount of home cooking, with the refs allowing all kinds of holds and dirty hits. Vanderbilt started slow, and that's what lost them the game. Vandy had the better offense and made the better adjustments. Brian Kelly is simply put peak Butch Jones, an overhyped used car salesman who can't coach his way out of a paper bag. It wouldn't surprise me at all of Wake Forest and the Claufense upsets Notre Dame. I'm going to fade them the rest of the season.
